Actually Stack's ploy was pretty smart...he knew Shaq was going to be pissed, and Shaq'd either have to deal with it, or make his move on Stack. If Shaq had gone after him it would have been an automatic ejection and Stack would have looked pretty damn smart. Wade saved the game in more ways than one there.
Exactly. I thought Shaq might fling Wade out of the way to get to Stack, though.

Say it loud. Say it proud.

We have to play so much better, but when a guy can have such a huge impact. WOW !

cut down the turnovers. Push the ball. Be more efficient. Keep working on D.

Dude, it was with all the other pictures you hotlinked from Yahoo. That's what Cuban said.
I pulled them from another thread...I didn't go thru all the yahoo pics myself...

I think that Shaq would be everyones nightmare to fight...wind up a punch from your ankle and break your hand on his jaw...and he would just grin and shake it off...
Yes, because big = having a good chin

Shaq can't fight. If Shaq had any balls he would have gone after Oakley instead of Brad Miller in that game in 2000 when Oakley was beating the out of him.

Easy for you guys to say. I am a big tough SOB and can take a punch better than most and have a high pain threshold but I would run from Shaq. I have never lost a fight but you gotta know your limitations.

Just because Shaq got hit in the head does not = suspension. Are you people for real??? Players get smacked in the head ALL THE TIME. It was a hard flagrant 1 foul...nothing more or less. If you look at the play Shaq's left arm is pushing Stack and prevents him from extending to the ball thus the slap in the face....wasn't even that hard of a hit. Very sad that the NBA and Stern have gone out of control with all these suspensions. Have any of you watched the Pistons and Lakers of the 90's...that play happened 10 times a game.

Shaq's probably never gotten into a real fight(because no one sane is going to seek him out for one) so he probably doesn't have real good fighting skills...that doesn't mean you want to be the first guy he connects on...he's a big ing dude and if he hits you, you're going down.

mavs fans can thank mark cuban for the suspension because it was him who said nationally that, "I really got involved to outlaw all the handchecking and all the beating up of guys on the perimeter, so now the game's gotten a lot smoother, so you've got superstars like Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki who can take the ball to the hoop without all of that old Knicks ball, the old Pat Riley stuff, where they'd just beat up on people. So, we changed it up some."

Those that think losing Stackhouse was a huge blow have not watched Dallas all year. They got the depth to overcome it and at times I'm glad Stackhouse is out of the game since he disrupts the flow offensively with his one on one game.

Have you watched the whole playoffs where Dirk goes to the line for the slightest touch? You can't have it both ways.

Just go to youtube.com and look up the clip. If you have any doubt after that, yes, your Mavs are in trouble.

Anybody that could possibly think that Stack does not deserve to be suspended is out of touch with reality. He flew in with his forearm directly to the head and didn't even think about playing the ball. The thug should be suspended for the rest of the series.

I would say that's a stupid comment but it actually falls right in line with the mentality of the typical Spurs poster.

Welp if anything I think this suspension makes it easier for the offensive minded players like your Lebrons, Wades, and Dirks.

    Pretty funny when you consider:

    1) Shaq might have pulled up on the rim after that dunk and gotten a 2nd tech.

    2) Stack knocked Shaq's noggin just enough to make him start hitting his free throws.

we all know what happened last time a mavs player got suspended in a playoff series
Yeah, they lost the game that Terry missed, lucky for them they went into that game up one, they don't have that luxary this time around. If they lose this next one, they are done. IMO, the Mavs are done.

    Good hard foul IMO.

This league is being turned into the WNBA.

Even Steve Kerr thinks the suspension was BS:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns

Of course I fully expect a Spurs fan to chime in within the next 30 minutes about how Kerr is a full-fledged "Mavs homer" these days .
