I wonder what Pop, R.C. and company are plotting.![]()
I really hope we keep Beno.
Play him-- or trade him-- make up your mind. Just don't sit him there another year.
His option has to be picked up by October or he is a free agent next summer.
I wonder what Pop, R.C. and company are plotting.![]()
I really hope we keep Beno.
A three-way deal could also be done. AI to Boston, Beno to Sixers, Gerald Green to the Spurs. < Dreaming.
Atlanta is also interested in AI, maybe we could pry one of their SFs away in a trade.
The Spurs have a few players they want to keep and are open to getting rid of the rest. They always have been. The tenure of most players on the Spurs is short- with just a few who are here for a length of time. It would amaze you if you sat down and listed every player who has been on the Spurs in the past 3 or 4 seasons.
If the interest in Beno can be used to get some team to take Brent's contract for an expiring contract, they will do it. The chances of just a direct trade of Beno alone seem more unlikely because he is still cheap and his deal is up next summer if they don't pick up the option. But don't be surprised, the Spurs have initiated an attempt to trade Beno before.
Just do that Oberto+Beno for Hunter deal. Then we get CJ Watson plus a veteran point guard.
Why not a three team trade involving Philly and Chicago.
Beno-Oberto-Scola's rights from SA
Kyle Korver-Steven Hunter from Philly
Tyson Chandler-Malik Allen from Chicago
Beno and Malik Allen go to Philly.
Kyle Korver and Tyson Chandler to SA.
Steven Hunter, Oberto, and Scola to Chicago.
Kover? They would give him up?
Do we have ANY players they might be interested in?
To get Beno.![]()
Come on, it worked on RealGM!
![]()
Nobody can have Beno but us.
Just say no to Beno trades, Pop.
Por Favor! Prosim! Please! etc, etc.
Maybe instead of giving Chicago the rights to Scola, you give it to Philly.
You could also throw Barry into that trade and send him to Chicago.
Tony/???
Manu/Finley
Bowen/Korver
Tim/Horry/Bonner
Chandler/Javtokas

Chicago would never do that trade for chandler, when they can get pj brown and jr smith from new orleans.
Steven Hunter, Barry, Scola > PJ Brown and JR. Smith
NO NO NO to Chandler. There's a reason why Chicago wants to dump him. He's too injury prone.
Since when is Philly looking to trade Korver? Since when is he considered a SF who could back up Bowen? Since when do the Spurs need another 3 point shooter?
And NVE sucked against everyone else. So what is your point?

But I don't think that there is a chance that Chandler will end up here. He is on his way to NO. I could imagine that the Spurs try to get J.R. in some kind of combination out of that trade (if Chi really does not want him) other than that I don't believe SA is involved in that trade scenario.
Speedy was injury prone, Beno was injury prone.
Since when was he considered a SF? Since he entered the league.Since when is Philly looking to trade Korver? Since when is he considered a SF who could back up Bowen? Since when do the Spurs need another 3 point shooter?
And when can;t you can't you have enough three point shooters?
Revised trade:
Beno-Oberto-Barry-Scola's rights from SA
Kyle Korver-Steven Hunter from Philly
Tyson Chandler-Malik Allen from Chicago
PJ Brown-JR Smith from New Orleans
Beno, Oberto, JR Smith go to Philly.
Kyle Korver and Tyson Chandler to SA.
PJ Brown, Barry, and Scola to Chicago.
Steven Hunter, Malik Allen to New Orleans

I don't know if the Celtics would really be the other team, but any chance we could pry loose Gerald Green?
you want Beno, I'll give youe Beno
FOR AI2!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steven Hunter didn't pass a physical to go to New Orleans last year but he still would be the best out of the three, Scola hasn't stepped foot in the NBA and obviously spurs officials don't even think scola is worth 4 million. Barry is 35 years old and no longer can put the ball on the floor, but hes a good spot up set three point shooter......
PJ Brown is a more consistant big than Steven Hunter, although he lacks the athletic ability, a huge asset with Brown is that his 8 million dollar contract expires after this year. With the signing of Ben Wallace to a 58 million dollar deal, Bulls will have 8 million coming off the books to resign hinrich, gordon, deng, nocioni to extentions. Thats why PJ brown is so VALUABLE more so over any of the 3 listed in your biased trade proposal for spurs gettin chandler. Add in J.R. Smith, you get an athletic 6'6" freak who can not only shoot the 3, but that can put the ball on the floor and finish with authority around the rim.
PJ brown, JR smith>>>>>> Scola Barry Hunter or w/e
common guys
I like Hunter, but so does Mo. I'm sure the Sixers are thinking more along the lines of Randolph or Louis Williams and a second rounder.
Beno and Oberto for a starting center?
You guys hit the pipe early today, it'll look great to me when i come back from the bar tonight.
