Many of them, who seem to be representing themselves as American, are actually British. I'm "half-British" myself and these guys are using certain phrasing and word arrangements that are not used by Americans, but are subtle enough for most readers not to notice.
They probably jumped in to defend Stephen, who started the thread by very politely introducing himself and pointing out that England has a Spurs team too. Unfortunately, his friendliness was rewarded by a knee-jerk attack from a bunch of rude, juvenile, obnoxious A-holes on this board.
Stephen, I'm sorry you were treated so badly. There are some good people on this board. You just ran into some of the jerks. I thought their comments were uncalled for. Stick around and you'll meet some of the more welcoming people.
