I guess it could be worse, Horns could be 6-5 like some loser teams.
    Hmmm, what is AZ's record?

Lack of passion the entire first half.
Lack of leadership the entire game.
Greg Davis made his token 3rd down calls.

Overall this was hte most horrible showing our boys could possibly put on, and It was sickening to watch. Started and ended almost exactly like the Kstate game. We move the ball like noones business in a fast paced passing attack, then get shut down in the end zone, then lose all confidence on both sides of hte ball--TEXAS PLAYERS SEEMED LIKE THEY DIDNT EVEN CARE TO GIVE THIS GAME A GOOD TRY, then the third quarter we see some passion finally and it is still not enough.

Aggies owned us, but that late hit on colt was pretty sad on yalls part. He was taking his ing helmet off man.

We could go back to 80's, early 90's. TU fans didn't sleep for a decade. Haha

What I don't understand is why we used a rushing attack only in the second half, dont try to get colt back in a rhythm, then with 2 and a half minutes left, we hand colt the ball and tell him "win us this game"

    it was stupid

I noticed that as well. Texas really didn't seem to be in it. I think they had there hopes set on the Natl. Championship. But after K-State, they just brokedown. I don't believe having your starting QB hurt helps either. It just wasn't their day. They didn't want it to be their day.

As to the late hit, the ball was just intercepted. McCoy REMOVED hit helmet BEFORE THE WHISTLE WAS BLOWN. Big....I REPEAT....Big NO-NO.....That is part of the reason the NFL has certain rules in place regarding removal of helmet on the field. I thought college football did, but maybe not. Many are right, he could have been seriously injured. Next time, keep your helmet on until your at the sideline. I'm not applauding, nor condeming, the intent of hitting McCoy, but rather the level of intesity. Heard knew who he was hitting. So in that case, it's a little cheap. But I don't believe he purposely went out of his way after the play ended to cause injury. The replay did Heard no justice, much in part because you could not see the timing at which the hit took place. He should go a little easier, but when your out there, your addreline rushing, young players, sometimes we make mistakes. I don't believe this was what caused McCoy's injury. That happened awhile back. McCoy needs to put on serious weight. He looks like a stick out there. If he doesn't I don't believe he will come in as the starter next year. Best of wishes to Colt.

    Really?????????????????????

    I can't recall UT losing 10 in a row.
Much less SIX in a row like ags just did.

It wasn't 10 in a row but close. Ags won 10 of 11 from 84 to 94, the only loss in 90 (the Cash twins senior year)

The overall series now stands at 73-35-5 Texas

    Since 1980 though....its 14-13 Ags.

10 in a row would be unforgetable.

    SIX though, man.

Those six in a row and 10 out of 11 mark the best time of prosperity for the Ags. Royal was gone from UT and the Ags brought in Jackie Sherrill then R.C. Slo . of a time in Aggieland.

He was reaching up for his straps but never actually came close to removing it, the hit was ridiculously late though. Sad.

It was the secon dhit though, he grabbed his shoulder and looked dazed, probably a concussion + more shoulder/neck damage.

Its not hte fact that we lost that pisses me off its how we lost. Texas seriously had nooooo intensity in the entire first half, and when they got a spark in the third the aggies pulled off a masterful 10 minute ing drive that resulted in 6 points. Sad day for the horns. Our team just got set back years.

Of course, all this inevitably means that the aggies dusted off the old Trainstation and practiced there day and night. That special training gave them more than enough muthle and huthle to own the horns today.

I only wish train stations were in austin too.

that stat is misleading. 81 of those games have been played in Austin.

Just showed the 2nd hit on Colt in slow mo on CBS during the Ark v LSU game.
Colt jumped up in the air & then the ag DL jumped into Colt's body while leading with his helmet.

Wow, Karma dictates that something not so good might be in store for the ags.

If you wish to talk karma, speak no more....Let's look at last year's squad. I believe half of our team was out with an injury during some part of the year. Granted not all at once, some just nagging injuries. Let alone, recieving the biggest waste of talent in Reggie McNeal. If that's not bad karma, I'm not sure what is. No offense, but McNeal was superior talent wise than Young. The DIFFERENCE though, Young had leadership skills. I guess it's something your born with. I believe McGee has those same leadership qualties as Young. Hopefully, no bad karma, but lesson's learned. I agree he didn't quite have his helmet off, I was speaking more to the action of. Had he had his helmet off and the hit would have occurred, then yes that would have been "Dirty" or "Cheap". But until that whistle blows, which I do not believe it had yet once Heard left his feet, then as a player you need to be aware of your surroundings, ESPECIALLY at QB. I don't agree with the intesity of the hit, it was rough. I don't think it called for an ejection. 15 yard penalty, yes, because it was too hard. Heard could easily claim he was blocking, due to interception.

I miss RC too. I wish he would have stayed as Defensive Coordinator. Or really, maybe he could have been placed as AD.

What are you talking about? He had his helmet on when he got hit. He looked like he was about to take it off but he had not done so yet.

McNeal superior to VY in talent??????????????
OK, I think we can end the fallacy right there.

As far as Karma, how many of those nagging injs from last yr did the Horns intentionally commit vs the ags??????
Look for the ags to have some kind of bad injs between the bowl game and the start of next yr. What goes around, comes around.

To any ags or ag fans that defend dirty play.....I look forward to bumping this thread in the future just for you.
