Mookie is my homeboy, while we don't share the same views, i feel i have to add one more thing:

half of you who disagree with him are just all on the 'he's a liberal' thing, when he's not a liberal at all
some of you take what he says and interpret it wrong

basically he believes the degredation of civil rights beginning with the patriot act has not stopped or gone away, and is a cons ionalist from the Jonesian school of thought. I dont think he wants to take it off now that its the number one show but its pretty ridiculous to gloss over the fact that some of the content can make impressions on youngins. So what if they make it 'obvious' that camps are wrong? Kids are kids.

If he actually knew how to type and punctuate, im sure he'd get his ideas out more clear.

I promise you that I need only 5 minutes to browse through mookie's pop culture to see that would be inappropriate for children. There's no point to be made there. Its obvious that much of the violence on 24 isn't suitable for children, but he's pissed off because they round up Muslims on the show.

Nevermind that they depict that in a bad light, the fact they that depict it at all is horrible. Thats why I think his statements are full of ignorance. He's never seen the show and he's complaining about something that they depict in a horrible light. That is pretty damn stupid. Its not even about me liking 24, its about Mookie bashing something in a ridiculously ignorant way and advocating (and then back pedalling) censorship. He sounds like Sean ing Hannity himself.

CBF, you and I both know very well why Mookie dislike's 24 and it has nothing to do with the content and everything to do with the fact that the show is popular. Mookie loves to bash like that.

Thats 12.5 to 1 and I am severly rounding down. So assumptions about who is and who isnt a terrorist are pretty specific. Being of middle-eastern decent and Muslim makes you 1250% more likely to be a terrorist when compared to being of European decent and Christian.

When you look at the 'terrorists' as a percentage of the Muslim world, the stereotype is not valid. It's about as valid as racially profiling black people who walk into a liquor store, assuming they're going to rob it.

OTTAWA, (AFP) - Canada's public broadcaster CBC hopes to lighten religious tensions between this country's Christian majority and Muslims with a new sitcom, "Little Mosque on the Prairie."

The show is a parody of the acclaimed US drama "Little House on the Prairie" (1974-1983), starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, about the life and adventures of the Ingalls family in the 19th century American West.

But instead of raising pitchforks, tumbling down hills and selling eggs at the general store, this fictional Muslim family struggles to find its place in Canada's vast western prairies in a post-September 11, 2001 world.

CBC spokesman Jeff Keay said Monday the broadcaster has ordered eight episodes and will begin airing them in January.

"The producers recognize that this is a potentially sensitive topic," Keay said.

The Roman Catholic pope Benedict XVI's recent comments on Islam, an alleged Toronto terror plot foiled in June and attacks on mosques have divided Canadians lately, he acknowledged.

"But, the show is a comedy. We hope people will laugh," he said.

Liverpool-born filmmaker Zarqa Nawaz wrote and produced the satire.

Her previous films include "BBQ Muslims" about two brothers who are suspected of being terrorists after their barbecue blows up, and "Real Terrorists Don't Belly Dance."

Her production company is called Fundamentalist Films; its motto is to put the "fun back into fundamentalism," according to its website.
