Most people in the world want to kill a few others for revenge reasons, just most are not willing to go through with it. Laws need to change or this will happen more and more. I wonder if his did something bad to him.
Too bad he just didn't take his own life beforehand. Why the needless killing.

Maybe because he took the lives of 32 people + himself it will cause us to examine where the collegiate system is at the moment. It's nothing but stress and grief for the few students that try, and keg after massive keg party for the rest that shouldn't even be there.
I hope as a nation we take a deep breath and address the real issues of college here, because the stress is taking it's toll on students. You just never hear about it because a University doesn't want "stressed student hangs self" plastered all over the news. It's bad rep. for them.
Now though, maybe some small good will come out of this monstrosity. Sad that it takes this to get people's attention.
Nothing will change...did it change after columbine...no, hence nothing will happen this time. People + Guns....not good.
....how many "more dangerous" countries would you like me to list?
Shootings like this have nothing to do with gun control. It has to do with human nature. Any new invention or idea can and will be turned rotten until the day humanity comes to an end. At least that's my opinion.
Well, that's one of the more asinine things I've ever read. And if you've perused this board over the past few years, that's quite an accomplishment.
That that was actually pretty tame coming from him.![]()
You failed to mention that in your previous post. And to only examine 8 countries would be pointless, considering that the world isn't composed of 8 countries.
One of my good friends goes to Virginia Tech, and the initial shooting that took place in a dorm hall occurred two floors exactly below him. That is scary.
Imagine being a parent of one of the victims. You send your kid to a respectable college, especially its Engineering college, and they get shot by some crazy guy. A wasted future, and not even mentioning the wasted tuition money. I don't understand why the people do these things without any reasons.
"Wasted tuition money" seems like an awfully minor thing to be concerned with.
As your post recognizes, though, the lost lives of the innocent students who fell victim to this madman are a toll that is too high for anyone to endure. I suppose that there's no way to ensure that everyone is protected all of the time -- Nutjobs who can't deal with adversity in their lives will create suffering like this in some way if they're determined to do so.
No , I wanted to say that I wasn't even going to go into that because it's uncomparable to the loss of a son/daughter.
I understand.
Agreed. Virginia Tech doesn't deserve a bad name nor does any other place where a similar situation occurred. No one can predict this . This crap can happen anywhere.
Those that are so pissed off about something that they can't deal with should just put one in themselves, no need to over other people who know how to deal with life.
This is such bull - as if most schools won't bend over backwards to help students graduate. There is a reason that schools offer free counseling, advisors galore, free tutoring - this is why professors are required to have office hours. Part of college is learning a trade and a career path, and the other part is learning to deal with stress, deadlines, and reality in general. If you can't deal with the stress then college isn't for you, or you need to transfer out to some place that suits you better. If it were any easier then the degree wouldn't be worth as much. Thousands of people graduate from schools as compe ive or more compe ive than Virginia Tech every year and they don't shoot anyone - this is not the fault of the collegiate system, this is the fault of a man with abysmal judgment and a gun.
I just heard about this when I got home and I am completely stunned. I can't believe it. I don't know anyone in VA, or anyone going to VA Tech but I feel absolutely devastated over hearing this news. Words can't explain how it made me feel. What is this world coming to...
Each and everyone one of them is in my prayers.
That is awful. He's not hurt though right? I'll say a special prayer for him when I pray for the others involved.
I hope the prick that did this gets ass raped in by Satan's 44 inch penis.
Lets start with Canada.

This is all Marilyn Manson's fault.
That's not my point at all, and I'm not attempting to blame the college or the system in general, either. My point is that schools DO bend over backwards to help students graduate *coughathletescough*, and they shouldn't. There are kids who actually work their ass off in college and at the end of the day they have the same degree that Joe Schmo graduates with.
I mean, perhaps I'm just jaded by the fact that a large percentage of sop res in college are unable to write a 10+ page paper. I've had to proofread so many papers (even from upperclassmen) that had no semblance of the English language, at all. I proofed a junior football player's paper once and he didn't even use a period, comma, or semicolon in the entire 3 page paper.
I have a degree that I worked for. 2,000 frat boys that I graduated with have the same, only they spent their weeks drowned in alcohol. Yet they graduate, because to fail someone "looks bad for the school". Don't bother to explain that kind of logic to me.
Your entire point has nothing to with this shooting and everything to do with your bitterness at having people who feel got the same degree and didn't put in the work. Look at your last paragraph.
How on earth can you link that to this shooting?
I really dont see the relevence of this
