I laughed my ass off as i drove on by. 15 ing dollars to park my car? jesus christ.

i parked in the arena parking (still 8 dollars) and walked the mile or so to the front door.

I wish that the people that have and WILL go to the games would at least show more energy! Get LOUDER, even when our guys are slowing down! They need us to be supportive the entire time. I know that going to the games for some people is their way of showing their support, but lets make some NOISE! I too cannot afford to go to every home game, but be damn sure I'm on my feet the whole time, leaving with a bruised vocal chord! It's the Playoffs dammit! I got frustrated watching from home and the camera scans the court seats and there are people just sitting there. At least wave to the damn camera man. I'm glad someone brought this up. If I was loaded, I'd buy everyone in this forum season tickets to the Playoffs.. just so our Spurs had more energy in the stands. I'll get over it dammit. Come on Spurs Fans, lets show some more P.R.I.D.E.

ROFL... club 200 was where the seats were empty...
There were empty seats in the tea and crumpet lower bowl, too. I was upstairs and could see them.

Shame on SOFT Spurs fans. I read in another thread that someone referred to this as the Duncan era in the NBA. I agree. And it won't be here forever. Some of us have supported the team through really thin times. One day Tim will be gone and these opportunities won't be here.

Making an excuse is ridiculous. I'm sure Buddy Holly could give you all the stats but in a city of over 1 million you think we could muster up a sell out for a team that's in the western conference finals who are three time champs featuring one of the greatest NBA players of all time and the best PF of all time. That's no biggie.

sure, if you are single with no one to support then dropping a couple hundred to go to a game (ticket, parking, food, etc) is nothing. i guess what bugs me is this notion that somehow spurs fans aren't already supporting this team well financially. frankly a lot of families in that upper bowl shouldn't be there, they should be spending their $ on something more important. i guess you could say that it's a shame those who can afford it don't go, but how about next time letting spurs fans know there are unpaired tickets left?

You guys are ridiculous. You have no idea what it is like to have the Kings as you hometown team. They have been sold out for like 200 regular season games in a row. Thousands of people want to go to Kings games that cannot because they are sold out. Spurs tickets are some of the cheapest in the league as well. Go to the games!!!
Wait wait, you live in Sac town, but you are a Spurs, Patriots and Redsox fan? Let me guess you are a Gator fan for college? God what a ing frontrunner. You are the last person who should talk about loyalty after look at who your favorite teams are.

The Spurs are 7 wins away from their fourth championship and all people can do is at each other about who is a fan and who isn't. Really sad.

Maybe 497 tickets from a sellout is not all that bad, or whatever other excuse there is out there. I am PISSED off at people leaving the game early on National TV. That is the embarrassing part. I will give phoenix, GS and Utah Jazz fans credit they stay there till the end. Who gives a if the game is already won with a few minutes left. Its truly classless/tasteless when people leave the game so early. Like I said before, it only adds fuel to the fire. It opens the door to get insulted and I think its fair game to throw those insults out, oh and don't even get me going on how weak they sound through the TV. Its a travesty!!

This is not the first time I have ed about people leaving early btw, I've complained about it during some of the regular season games.

yeah, leaving the game early is weak, particularly for those in the lower bowl. i recall a few leaving the dome early on memorial day 1999.

Who said everyone? We're talking 18,000 people in a city of over a million people.
again, it would be nice of the spurs to let people know seats are available.
telling WOAI to make an annoucenment 2hrs before the game is not enough notice.

I saw that in the paper--Can't be true! Must have been a marketing oversight or a computer glitz. I bought season tickets for 13 years, but not this year 'cause I am not working. I will have to go to Tues.'s game and bite the financial bullet!! Can't let my Spurs down! This is shameful!

Ok, so 400 people didn't show up in an 18,000+ seat arena, it's not like the arena was half full, like in Atlanta or something. No reason to jump all over the fans, IMO. Some people, like me, would prefer to watch the game in a bar or something. Besides, the place was still packed relatively anyway, so what's the big deal?

I knew the national media would jump on this.

I do find it entertaining that spurfans didn't bother to check for singles. It is the playoffs after all. If you don't really want to go that badly, it's not worth getting worked up over either.

I remember camping out for a chance at tickets in '99. Nowadays you can get a ticket the day of the game no problem.

I'm not sure what it is, but you'd think the excitement generated by this team would be more than is seen around town.

Oh well. Luckily the Spurs can win with or without a crowd most nights.
