The sad thing out of all this is that fans in general are slowly but surely losing the plot, and their behaviour is becoming increasingly uncivilised - and that goes for all teams in all sports. It won't be long before we get some mad basketball fan stabbing a player or something, and then there'll have to be a cage around the court and everything will go to .

I think this has far deeper societal roots than sports, but there's a PhD in there and I'm not going to write it on Spurstalk...
