For the purposes of this thread, blaming it on white people is a defensive mechanism to cope with being so incredibly pissed off at and disappointed with Michael Vick for embarrassing himself and all the people who rooted for him, and throwing all of his success away for something as stupid as this, especially after he made it out of the hood like he did.

Listen Adolf, I was pointing out that whether or not they broke the law or not they put themselves in that situation by hiring the stripper the same way that Vick put himself in his situation regardless of whether he broke the law or not. I never claimed to know whether he was innocent or guilty, I wasn't there so how the should I know? I was basically saying that he should at least be given a chance without people throwing him to the gas chamber without a trial or hearing his side. Many defendants have beaten charges when it seemed that they had no shot of winning.

This reminds me of the movie Anger Management. There's this scene where Adam Sandler is in a situation that is spinning out of control, through no fault of his own, and this black agent comes up to him. Oh, and your point about other black leaders calling Al Sharpton out . . . well noted. But, answer this question: Do they have the same exposure as Al Sharpton?? Do they?? Sharpton has TV exposure, radio esposure (he has his own radio show), and newspaper exposure. Yes, there may have been some leaders of the black community who spoke out against him, but they don't have the same exposure he does. So, nothing much came from it. It should have been Sharpton apologizing. But, to date, he just hasn't.

Of course your not familiar with what Gary Sheffield said, it wasn't directed to blacks. Apparently, if it doesn't affect you, or if you don't percieve it as affecting you, you just don't give a .

Also, it's funny that you say that about the NAACP. Because, I'm sure you benefit when they do speak for the majority of blacks. But, now you don't want to be included because it counters your arguement. The fact is that the NAACP, and other black communities, are quick to denounce acts of racism against members of the black community (and I'm all for it, if it should be warranted), but they're not so quick in calling out members of their own community when they should do the same.

Since, I've just been arguing that although this case may not have a racial thing to it, a strong bias between the races still exists when it comes to the justice system and the publics perception of innocence and guilt between the races still exists.
