It's funny, you can go to any cheap La Quinta's or whatever in the country and get free wireless access in your room, but you go to any of the mid/upper-level joints and they put the screws to you.

This is the main reason I didn't print out or write down the information in the aforementioned essential email before leaving home. The thought that a casino hotel room wouldn't have free wireless didn't even occur to me.

Internetting would be my last choice while at a casino. The 3-D shows at Boomtown's arcade are relatively inespensive and a little entertaining.

Nickels are another idea. Sometimes it's takes me 12-15 hours to spend $300 worth of nickels. At Fitzgeralds there's a campy little stage that shows live concert footage on a huge screen about this time on Saturday nights.

Never having been a big gambler, I've just never found the gambling meccas to be very fun. I can usually find enough to do in Vegas to keep me entertained, but Reno and Tahoe both just bore me to tears.

Also, I planned the trip before I knew how busy I was going to be in terms of homework. I was starting to get antsy about how much more important stuff I needed to be doing when I was down in the casino.
