There's a difference between suicide and an accident.

I could fall down the stairs at school tomorrow, crack my head open, and die, but it's doubtful they'd call it a suicide.

I think he was simply addicted to sleeping pills and his tolerance got too high for his sytem to handle.

Exactly. And if had multiple prescriptions and possibly combined them with alcohol he might of actually not needed very much at all to create an overdose.

I've seen two people I know over the years OD this way. One lived and one didn't. But neither person was suicidal, or an addict to medication.

Maybe the fact that it is such a major role created more pressure on himself? Many very, very successful people commit suicide at the peak of their lives.
