BTW, New Jersey is playing Utah tonight, so Devin Harris and DeSagana Diop are going to completely shut down Boozer and Williams, right guys?

    Absolutely.

You guys traded away Oscar Robertson and Bill Russell for an over the hill PG.

But that's the problem I have with Damon. With JV, we never really progressed with him, his job was simply to not turn the ball over and he was fairly solid at that. Damon just kills the Spurs with his 20% shooting. There is absolutely NO reason for him to have the 2nd or third highest number of FG attempts on this team during a game.

    Ever.
He was a stupid pick up out of necessity. I really wish Pop didn't cut Darius washington SO soon. There really was no point keep him the D-league and call him up as the third string back up.

Stoudamire is damaged goods and doesn't live up to his "potential" of what we're getting.

I wasn't very happy when we "got" him, and I wish the Spurs sat and looked to get Sam Cassell for the playoffs. With him Horry, and Manu, The IQ points would have been throug the roof for the bench.

Just a really lousy pick up.

I think winning the championship last year has blinded head office when it comes to revamping the bench. I'm not saying the team needs an overhaul, but you're right about the bench. And it's not even like when they're missing shots, the bench has a superb veteran IQ this season to make up for it.....our 4th quarter execution in tight games has been downright pitiful at times.
Finley, Horry, St., need to go after the season to bring in youth, speed and athleticism. We have 2 young bigs coming in, now need to find 1-2 young swingmen and a young PG.

I'll be curious to see how this offseason pans out.

I'm hoping Splitter works out and then we can focus on some young swingmen like you said.

Can't really knock Vaugh. When he hits them it's jsut bonus. But yeah, I hate to see our offense run through him. He should be the last resort ALWAYS. He should be demanded to pass the ball as long as there's a defensive player within 15 ft of him. 20 Ft and he should shoot the ball, but below that PASS the f'ing ball.

    Yeah, that was pretty bad...

Never pass to Vaughn unless there is no other option at all available...

The whole, we have a decent guy here, NO HIM sequence was irritating, as was the whole sign a guy for a day, cut him the next day thing, with DerMarr Johnson and others. It's like we're allergic to young players nowadays. Even if they ain't that great, a little enthusiasm and some fresh legs would be nice.

Outside of TP and Manu, there's no speed and athleticism on this team. If young teams like Philly hit their outside shots, it's going to be a long day for the Spurs.

    Stupid comment.

Harris worries TP because of his SPEED - D Williams is more a strength PG, so he should abuse Harris.

Diop worries Duncan because of his length, but Boozer is much quicker than he is, unlike Timmy.

In other words, you have to look at the individual attributes of the players rather than making blanket statements.

    Do you understand basketball?

i've never understood why Tim doesn't just GO when he gets the ball. and go strong. that was a weak attempt to get a foul.
One of the problems I used to have with Timmy in the past was that he would try way too hard to simply draw the foul as oppose to genuinely trying to score the bucket. This season, he's been getting hosed by the refs every game, so I'm curious to see how he's been adjusting.

He usually dunks a lot more in the playoffs, so I'm sure as in seasons past, we'll see a much more aggressive TD in April, May (and hopefully June)
