More Barry, less Finley, for starters. Fin hit a basket late in NO on Monday but sometimes he's just off.

If Finley got lit up by Kobe in that 3rd quarter with Bowen on the bench we'd never hear the end of it. I think that was the turning point when Udoka watched Kobe get going.

Who lit Finley up exactly? One possesion Odom scores on him when the collapse had already taken place and it's Finley's fault. Unbelievable. Finley sucked offensively no doubt but who scored on him exactly?

Fail. I can't believe you think Finley being on Odom wasn't a factor. Crackpipe much?
You and AHF used to be good at your playoff cliff jumping back when you actually watched games. By the time Finley ever guarded Odom, the Spurs' 20 point lead was at 2 points. How the was Finley being on Odom reason the Spurs collapsed?

LOL Finley had a -21 +/- tonight in 21 minutes...that's got to be a ing record.

And yes...it was the worst on the team.

More Oberto please. His passing could have helped break down the Laker defense.

Why don't you do your little +/- thing tonight...I'm interested in seeing Finley's.

Finley wasn't on Odom for that long. And Odom wasn't exactly scoring out there anyways. I don't think it was a factor.

I think Finley's affect was more on the offensive end. He was jacking up 3 pointers 2 feet behind the line with about 20 seconds left on the shotclock. He wasn't moving the ball and he was hesitating with some of his shots. He just sucked big time. But that's nothing new from him.

I'll put my le on the line that we won't win this series and it'll be because Pop is a dumbass...any takers?

Pop ing thinks Lamar Odom is Dirk Nowitzki or something and is going to use an old 2 guard as a C against him...that's why.

C'mon pussies...if smallball isn't a problem then you guys shouldn't be too chicken to bet.

Yeah, that's because we let Kobe get his rhythm, which he didn't have until Bowen was firmly on the bench.

Who gives a if Bowen fouls out in the fourth if we're up 20 at that point. The game's over anyway.

Instead, we pissed away a 20 point lead and are in a dog fight now. Yeah, that's awesome coaching.

You're up 20 in LA in the third with a chance to steal game 1 against the Fakers and put their young kids under some duress, and instead you get cute with sitting Bowen and going to small ball.

    ing stupid.

Completely agree. Pop almost made me throw my laptop off my balcony at my condo, which is 18 stories up. Maybe I would've hit the swimming pool and could've loaned the Spurs some shotmaking.

If the Spurs win game 2, I will definitely be able to sit with the game 1 loss a lot easier.

However if we drop game 2, I doubt we'll pull off another N.O.

Of course it is not all on him. Not even close. But he doesn't knock down his shots but every 3 or 4 games. He is no good to us.

THE SPURS CANNOT AFFORD FINLEY's SPOTTY SHOOTING AND TOTAL LACK OF DEFENSE. DON'T EVEN RISK PLAYING HIM.

At least Barry CAN break the Spurs horrid offensive droughts.

So 3 out of 4 playoff losses this year can be attributed in great deal to the fact that Pop doesn't know how to use Bruce Bowen?

Maybe old age is hitting the coaching before the players.

Who the do you guys think he was on then? Shaq?

He didn't evne hardly play in the first half.

Finley's impact was on both ends....like I said, Lakers are his kryptonite...I think he lost about 20 games in a row in LA...no joke. He didn't win there until he became a Spur IIRC.

I knew we would lose this game the second I saw that Pop was going to go with him during crunch time.

I'm not sure if this game is gonna be the exception or the rule for this series... but as much as im pissed right now that we blew a 20 point lead... outplaying the lakers for 31/2 quarters on their home gym after a short turnaround from an emotional game 7, has to at least be somewhat of a good sign.. as ign re ed as that sounds.

    spurs in 6.

Obviously Finley sucked azz. But only those of you who didn't watch the game will blame this lose of Finley guarding Odom. Odom wasn't in the game when the Lakers made their run and by the time Finley was put on Odom, the Lakers had erased the lead.

Finley was damn horrible but you stat jockeys should mix in some actual game footage.

4-19 out of your shooting guards is just killer.

Barry Finley and Ginobili have GOT to show up for game 2 to have any kind of shot.

Gonna give em a pass though, assuming they were exhausted though. Still though, down 20 with 5 mins left in the third, you've got to finish em off and at the very least get your rest from blowin em out.

That's why I'm glad tomorrow is a holiday in Brazil and its soccer tournament time so I won't have to hear about this game or series until sometime next week.

I didn't think they needed game 1. I figured they could win game 2.

That was before they had a great first half and went up by 20 ing points in the third.

Now I want to break something, I am so frustrated and angry. Game 2 is now a must win situation, when it wasn't before the game started. And they are going to be tense and edgy and sucky and Manu will likely continue trying to force the offense. Kobe is relaxed now, which is just ing terrific.

If you go up by 20 points then you better gotdamn when the ing game. This is worse than a ing loss. What a choke job.

I'm so pissed off right now. I guess we'll see Friday if not watching will have any positive effect on this series.

    Finley sucks.
    Pop sucks.
    Smallball sucks.
