We put in a good effort tonight, it was fun to watch

That Jefferson dunk was sick. I'm surprised Pop didn't Hack-a-Oden at the end.

McDyess's defense is still MIA, but if he finds his jumper we may have something.
He hasn't been given any consistent court time to work out how to play in this system!

Start Dice. Start Bogans. Sit the "wide open 3pt... miss" brothers. Cross fingers and hope to Spurs ball turns up.

Yep, I am proud of the spurs. They tried really hard down the stretch. I agree with everybody that Bogans played well tonight, and Dice too in the second half. I am worried about manu, he is just not the same anymore.

good effort down the strech.. if they were serious from the begining this game wud hav been a lot better..... plus bogns played a really good game, and mcdyess dint suck which is a big improvement over last game. Ginobili is lookin worse as he plays more games ... bonner omg .. pop shud sit him down when he starts bricking .. he is a confidence player....nothign more ..
well it's still the 4th game, if Manu still gives that kind of effort in a 4th quarter in three months then I'd be worried.

His three ball is gone. I think he needs to get used to his post injury ankles.

Oh well, we lost. Manu needs to get his head out of his ass. He's nowhere near where he needs to be. I say less minutes for Manu these next couple of games.
That or sit him out entirely if Pop can. He needs to go back to the gym and start practicing his jumpshot and his handles. Boguns has a better percentage than Ginobili.

I liked RJ, Bogans and Dice

    Finley and Mason were horrible
Yeah, this was the first great game for all 3 of those individuals

I was impressed with Bogans. If he gets minutes he looks comfortable. His offense is still off, but his defense looks pretty damn good.

Mason is good in one role only, and that's starting at SG. He is useless everywhere else.

He's been owned on defense wit hthe time he's been given. Help defense aside, he's looked HORRIBLE going one-on-one, straight up.

    Yeah, my teams rule too!

Scant consolation when the Spurs look lost in the wilderness though...

I cannot knock the effort. It was definitely there tonight. I wasn't expecting it on the second night of a b2b.

Overall, I am pleased with the defense the last 3 quarters.

I think I'll get back to watching spurs basketball once they put a legit center alongside Tim. This small ball for 4 quarters is lame and frustrating to watch. We have two pieces with height, plug one of them in and get on with it.

Dice, Bogans played well. Once again, Finley and Bonner sucked! Pop the stubborn donkey needs to bench these worthless idiots! I just don't understand why he continues to play them? They just plain suck! Manu looked rusty so it's going to take some time to get in playing shape! Pinche Pop needs realized that his favorites the worthless ones Bonner & Finley just don't work! They are defensive liabilities and now offensive liabilities as well!

if anything good comes out of tony going down maybe hill finally gets some big minutes and picks his game up
Do we even make a comeback with Tony out there tonight? I am a lot more encouraged with Hill's defense. I want a defensive tone set from the start. If that means starting Bogans, Ratliff and Hill then I am all for it.

TP can come in off the bench when he is back if he is that gassed after 3 games.

exactly, it was a great effort. it was a fun game, the jefferson dunk was sick. just hang in there ya'll

small-ball isn't going to take us anywhere down the line. i still can't stand that pop does it but i'd rather have RJ as our PF than Bonner

If Tony plays the next game, the offense needs to revolve around him and RJ. I'd also like to see some high low action with Tim and Dyess.
If TP plays the next game, he needs to watch tape of GH's play on the defensive end...

Like I said a few posts ago if TP is that gassed and can't play any defense at all then he needs to come in off the bench when he comes back. Does anyone notice it, but his body language looks pretty bad when we get down or when he gets scored on. I don't like that from TP.

I want to see a defensive tone from the start. Ratliff, Bogans and Hill. If they have to start to help set the tone then I am all for it.
