Cavs overhauled their roster with younger, athletic pieces and kept the nets picks... AND did it in the middle of the season without touching LBJ or Love.
Only thing that would have made the moves better was getting rid of TT or JR too but that would have likely required the nets pick.
Kudos to the Cavs.
We had better assets. Like Tony's 15 millions expiring, Danny's shorter contract or even guys like Gay or Anderson.
Cleveland giving themselves multiple JR Smith replacements is huge, too..he's been beyond terrible, now they have 3 new players that could effectively play the 2 ahead of him, if necessary..
Just a lot more versatile now..Clarkson and Hood have chucking issues, but neither has the ego or lack of self-awareness of a Thomas or Rose..
They weren't going to re-sign Hood. He wasn't a part of their future and Hood knew it after their extension talks didn't go anywhere. He's looking for a payday and meantime Crowder is cost controlled for a couple more seasons at 7 mill... I just looked it up bc I didn't understand what Utah was gaining in that trade.
Thinking the Spurs will do anything.![]()
Only if Kenneth Faried could shoot.
But Crowder ing sucks. Why would they want to keep him?![]()
The Spurs usually wait until buyout time when the real bargains can be had.
I can't believe CLE bailed LA out financially and gave them a first. Idiots.
I am sorry friend.
I really didn't.
Was hoping Vince Carter would be bought out so the Spurs could sign him and be the only team to ever have 2 players over 40 on the roster at the same time.
Mills and a 1st for Evans. Do it.
Then they should prepare themselves for the 2nd round exit they are about to receive![]()
Mills, a 1st and the coyote?
