Probably would.
Problem is that they won't be able to dump RJ and Biedrins without including at least two of Curry/Thompson/Barnes and the Lakers won't even talk about a S&T that doesn't include Curry, IMO.

Yeah their stuck with RJ & Bedrins unless they give up Curry and Barnes/Thompson + a 1st rounder. They'd keep flexibility for the next off season. Curry is on a great contract (something the Lakers don't have). Barnes or Thompson are going to be studs and the Lakers don't have may 1st rounders (because of the Nash and Howard trades) They get an extra pick in a deep draft. If they are mediocre then they can get an mid teens pick and possibly package that pick with GSWs for a higher pick.
IMO they'd be insane not to pull the trigger on a Curry, RJ/Biedrins, Barnes/ Thompson & a 1st rounder for Howard. I'd force the issue and make them take on MWP too. They a big head start on a rebuild and can still have a ton of cap space next season.
Why the Warriors would trade Curry? Curry is also the one who talked with DH12.

If Dwight somehow does go to GSW they're automatically favorites. Post man demanding a double with incredible shooters? Lights out, tbh.
If I were the Hawks, and I could get a good asset from Golden State, I'd totally be willing to take Bogut's deal. That preserves cap space while giving them a year to see how Horford pans out at the four.
Translation: "Someone with the Warriors hoping to scare the lakers into an S&T told me............"
I could see the warriors finding someone to just take on Bogut's deal. But no F'n way is anyone taking on Biedrins and RJ.
I think someone would take Bogut's deal for just a pick, as he's useful, and someone has to fill the five spot after losing the Howard sweepstakes.
Biedrins would require moving a player like Barnes. I could see Cleveland doing that, as they still need a small-forward and have the money to spare.
They would be tough. But I would never double Dwight. That's the way to play him, seeing as how he has never developed a post game.
That still leaves RJ who would also need to be moved and also need to be packaged with a player like Barnes. Suddenly Klay Thompson needs to become a part of the salary dump. Are the W's willing to go that far? If they are, does Dwight think there's still enough left to compete? Seems like a smokescreen to me. They're just trying to pressure the lakers into talking S&T.
no. They'd be in the Clippers/OKC/SA league but be the fourth best out of them. They have an incompetent coach and the only ridiculous shooter they have/will have should they aquire Howard would be Curry (Thompson would likely have to be moved to make room). The Spurs and OKC have the defenders to cover Howard one-on-one most of the time and players the Dubs would have trouble stopping (Durant and Westbrook, Parker and Leonard).
Sorry if this has been covered already, but if Bonner is amnestied and Blair signs elsewhere, what do we do for another back-up big?
This is a joke.![]()
lol vecsey
Neal and Blair are the spurs that I've always wanted to have on my squad, and them s combined wouldn't cost more than 7m/yr hopefully. I'd rather we go after such cheap guys with better potential than those overrated "star" players like Josh Smith or Iggy tbh. Neal would be the new JET for us while Blair would be a decent backup for Dirk.
If the Warriors had teams interested in taking on salaries of Bogut, RJ, and Biedrins, it would have been done by now. That means Dwight told the Warriors he wanted to pick them. These are bluffs. Warriors are praying to God that the Lakers change their minds about a S&T. It's the only realistic way of getting Howard.
Point guard Pablo Prigioni agreed to a three-year deal with the New York Knicks, his agent said Thursday.
Prigioni's contract will start at about $1.5 million, agent George Bass said, but it can increase to $2 million with incentives.

If they can move Jefferson and Bogut, they could create a trade exception big enough to entice the Lakers. As far as I understand Los Angeles' reluctance to do a sign-and-trade comes from their unwillingness to take salary. If they don't have to, then they probably would be fine with taking back assets and a large trade exception.
Hope you're drunk. Want a cup of coffee?
Look like D12 is on the way to the Warriors, and that lakers again walking out as a winner, getting Harrison Barnes and stuff instead of nothing...
