After Isabella was born I got together with some other "april mommies" and we had our hubby's watch the kids and went out for dinner and a movie. I got all dressed up to make it "special" and to feel ultra pretty.

damn I wish I just wore jeans and a nice shirt.
I was very uncomfortable all night and I kept having to be carefull how I sat at the restaurant. My feet hurt, and my pantyhose ran.
It was not as fun to look "pretty" without the prospect of flirting with my husband all night and then having sex in the car or at home.
In fact I got home to a baby who was still awake and a hubby who was tired and cranky. then I spent another hour in that damn outfit while I took care of those 2.

Well, I don't know, I guess it may be different when your married and with kids than if you were single.

Ok, maybe I wasn't very clear. Obviously there are times when I myself go out looking all pretty ( ) in hopes of attention or whatever. But, all I'm saying is that, sometimes don't you ever want to dress up and go out with your girlfriends or whatever, just for yourself....and feel pretty for yourself?

No that's true too. Sometimes, I will put on make-up even if I'm not going anywhere and dress nicely because I start feeling frumpy.

If it were up to me, I'd be living in sweats.

However, if I'm not going anywhere (and especially when it's hot), I don't put on make-up. , I'm lucky if I'm dressed before noon.

I'm still in my pajamas. I really need to get dressed and get going. I have two books waiting for me at the downtown public library.
