Hmmm... I'll stick with my plan of renting it to start. I also want to rent RE4, since I never finsihed it on the PS2.

Lets see... So far I'm 1-4 and fresh off getting smoked by Utah by like 24 points. I'm using Cleveland by the way, and I only have it set on All-Star. I might need more than a month before I start playing you guys sheesh!!

Yeah, you get so used to dominating with pretty much any team on the PS2 versions, then you get a REAL basketball simulation where you have to pretty much play like you are playing in the streets is a lot to get used to. I used to dominate with Cle on the PS2 version. Man I got so pissed last night at Illgaskus, Gibson, and Varajeo I traded all those bums for Mike Bibby,,

I just said screw it and went with a fantasy draft. How does this team sound on paper... Lebron James, Rondo, T. Chandler, Corey Brewer, Manu Ginoboli round out my starting 5. I haven't played a game yet, but I'm ranked 5 in the pre-season power rankings.
Personally, I hate ing with the rosters. I like keeping my game true to real life as possible. I'll adjust my rosters mid-season if needed and pull players due to being injured in real life. I might be a little anal about it, but to each his own.

Yeah thats how I normally do it too. But I thought it would be fun to change the script up some.
I personally, love the controls for Corruption. Its much more near keyboard/mouse than any console shooter I have ever played.
Like I said though, its "near" not equivalent.
Otherwise, the game rocks. Im a little disappointed with the absence of verticality in the game, though. All previous Metroids had a much more robust world in terms of exploration. All the hidden platforms you couldnt reach or even see early in the games due to not having the proper equipment or knowledge of a certain mechanic.
Corruption plays much more like Doom than any Metroid we are all used to. But its still exceptional.
enigma, is there gonna be a TF2 demo soon?
Way I hear it, demo is out after release. But Valve is known to change things as they see fit. Thats why theyre cool, and devs beholden to bottom-line publishers are not (looking at you Crytek).

It is one of the best game bargains out there.
i just want to decide between it and quake wars. i like quake wars enough to buy it (and i know enigma hates it), but i am also interested to see how TF2 plays. i don't want to buy both.
There won't be a demo per say - Valve is infamous for their "free weekends." They'll let you download the game and play it all weekend.
Honestly, hands down - TF2 will win for player base alone. As much as I want to enjoy ET:QW, I can't because it doesn't have the ET feel to is.
Can't wait for TF2. That and Guitar Hero III are my main upcoming purchases. I'm blowing through World in Conflict, and it's absolutely breathtaking.

In the first mission of World in Conflict, you fight Russian troops who land in Seattle, and they end up annihilating the Kingdome. Watching the thing fall apart, it's so realistic, it's scary. But an insanely immersive experience.

*edit* Oh gosh, I forgot about Crysis. AND Zelda (DS). This year is just impossible to keep up with the games, and I don't even own a 360!
Ps3 owners can look forward to Assassin's Creed, which looks absolutely breath-taking. If it bombs though, it could be the death knell for the Ps3.

I can't buy any games until after the first weekend in November.And I'm blowing my savings up to that point on the anime con up here that weekend. Oh, me. I'll be happy with my 360 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, though.
I added AC before I even saw your post, but sadly I do not own a Ps3. I'm thinking about a 360 but I just can't afford it right now, as I have other obligations.
