He will be special next season. This team needs his confidence more than anything with all these scared es we got out there
See those traffic cones in the background? Same color, same function.

Murray's midrange jumper looks smooth.
Oh well wake me up when he scores 30 + points in a playoff game.
No reason to believe Murray was not on a reasonably close trajectory to Fox if he hadn’t gotten injured scoring-wise. Not the play maker but better rebounder and defender. Physically strength-wise he’s at least on par with Fox whose effective. I expect a big step up next year. Of course those who feel they’ve staked their reputation trashing him and wi continue to do so. Wouldn’t be Spurstalk without that.
That's any player or PATFO.
I think he's going to be at an all star level next year and his jumper will be greatly improved.
Nice to see him taking and making jump shots. I really hope he can get a little bigger and stronger before the start of the season though. He is so damn thin but has the build to actually be able to put on decent muscle.
I hope his shot keeps improving and I'm excited to see how he puts everything all together in the upcoming season
Alot riding on his improvement this season without a doubt
This. Getting above-average starter level play from him is the biggest path to improvement. Lonnie making a White-type leap would be huge too.
As long as he doesn't proceed to the bed after that one game and get benched for 50 Mills as an example of how awful he was leading up to the benching, tbh.
Just wait until Pop plays Mills over BOTH of those guys
Remember that story that TP had to tell Pop to start DJ Murray over him. Patty is more “shut up and color” player and keep his head down.
His jumper will still suck tbh
Pop loves Murray and treats him like he did TP, tbh.
These people on this site hate Dejounte so much that they fail to see the signs. Pop speaks of Dejounte like he speaks of the franchise greats. He obviously believes DJ is the next face of the franchise. What I don't get is how people on this site can look at the good things DJ can do but still hate on him.
He needs to desperately pack on some muscle.
Upper looks okay but those bird legs, wow.
I was hoping he would grow into Kawhi lite (pre Zaza and pre his own injury) on the strength and bulk front.
Thanks Ace for the post
I hope he comes of something special
Dejounte, Derrick, and Lonnie are due for an uptick in usage at the expense of DeMar and LA.
Both short and long term, the success of the Spurs is tied to the former's growth. In order to grow where they need to grow, they will need to scale up usage as time ticks and as it's warranted (which should be in the near future).
That being said, and since DeMar's value is tied to his high usage, Spurs should really think about moving him -- especially if they aren't willing to extend him for what DeMar think is fair market value for his last big bag.
Not one to get to excited about cherrypicked instagram videos, but gotta say this handle looks tighter and this shot quicker/smoother.
Could DJ play at the SG assuming White’s outside shot improves? Starting to feel the CAN co-exist in starting line up.
In his post-season presser, Pop said that Murray would get some time at the 2 next year.
