Maxi Kleber and the Mavericks have agreed on a four-year, $35 million deal, league sources say
Knowing that NY has team options on all signings in year 2 except Julius makes them way less dumb.
Maxi Kleber and the Mavericks have agreed on a four-year, $35 million deal, league sources say
Sources: Free agent center Enes Kanter has agreed to a deal with the Boston Celtics.
Enes Kanter is signing a two-year, $10M deal with the Celtics, with a second-year player option, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
I know a lot of people are laughing at them but I understand the logic. Their priority was Durant. When he suffered the achilles injury, they got cold feet and backed off. Better to tank for the lotto and save the capspace for a real superstar instead of overpaying second/third tier guys like Tobias Harris/Middleton and become a treadmill team.
I think the Spurs are done. I’m hoping Thomas Robinson gets a roster spot.
But why sign 3 pfs though? They’re good players imo, but the signings just don’t make sense.
4 years for $35M; good deal for Dallas.
Free agent guard JJ Barea has agreed to a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
John Wall ($38.2M), Bradley Beal ($27.1M) and Jimmy Butler (up to $32.7M) make $98M combined. And Heat is already $3M over hard cap to start. To acquire all in massive trade, Heat needs to send out something like $105M+ combined. Everyone is possible to get there (excl mins). Go!
Enes Kanter going to Celtics for 10mil/2 yrs. Doesn’t Spurs have that much. Dang that’s my backup big right there.
Free agent center/forward Richaun Holmes has agreed to a two-year, $10M deal with the Sacramento Kings, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
Sure - but when they signed all these mediocre guys to two year+ deals it was throwing away that space. Now? We know the contract details and it makes more sense. Still, not optimal. They should have done what ATL did and take on “bad” deals for draft assets.
Golden State All-Star Klay Thompson's new five-year, $190M contract includes a 15 percent trade kicker, agent Greg Lawrence tells ESPN.
Warriors' Joe Lacob says the franchise will retire Kevin Durant's No. 35 jersey, in statement thanking Durant.

Free agent G Edmond Sumner has agreed to a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, Excel Sports agents Sean Kennedy and Jared Mucha tell ESPN.
How was this not announced on SportsCenter? I assume the Commish still has to approve it?![]()
Free agent G Wesley Matthews has agreed to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources tell ESPN.
I would have liked Richaun for the Spurs to develop.
A signal that number 2 is gone?
Danny Green could be. Thomas plays the 2.
Frank Kaminsky signs with the Suns per Woj for two years for $10 million
Thank God. I feel like Pop would have had an irrational love fest with Kaminsky
Everyone is 2 years 10m today
I hope people are noticing the price for a quality guard. Dejounte Murray at 15M per year isn’t that outrageous.
