My theory is Pop probably thought OKC is going to counter the run through free throws anyway. I understand Pop's decision to pull the plug, but I didn't like that mentality of quitting with so much time left.

You could obviously point to the 2012 WCF, but you could also compare this to the 2003 matchup against the Lakers. The same Lakers that skull ed us for 2 straight years, Shaq was Daddy, Phil completely owned Pop, etc. Spurs up 2-0, Lakers tie it 2-2, and everybody thought here we go again, Lakers will beat the mentally weak Spurs.
You could also compare it to 04, when the Lakers did complete the 0-2 backdoor sweep, or you could compare it to the 05 Finals... It's a matter of perspective. The Spurs are 7-1 this postseason at home

I know we've been saying this for years now but this time I truly believe they'll be playing to keep this Spurs era alive in Game 5. We aint winning Game 6 no matter what and I don't see our beloved Spurs getting up from this potential knockdown in '15. I'm scared tbh.

And? Sorry buy my Mavs have your Spurs beat in recent playoff success. My Mavs are the only team that has eliminated Superfriends in the playoffs. Your Spurs had their chance and blew it.
in the fast 3 years you have missed the playoffs once and have missed the second round all 3 times. in the past 3 years the spurs have made the conference finals 3 times and the finals once (perhaps twice). i think spurs have you beat in "recent playoff success" and have a head to head victory.
overall the spurs are 4-2 in playoff series against the Mavs, have almost regularly gone further, and didn't have to catch lightning in a bottle just to squeak out one championship
Spurs cannot take away the Mavs 2011 championship, tbh.
Yup...just like the Mavs can't take away the Spurs' 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 championships.
