Caldwell? I thought we needed to get our young QBs real reps? Yet I can see wanting to get Caldwell in as this move says to me we trust a guy with experience and the snaps in case Arch really gets injured like all of the QBs have under Sark. This will be very interesting to me. Put Caldwell in during a blowout and sit Trey Owens? Not a good look for any freshman QBs with us. I dont think UT can automatically tell good young QB recruits that they must sit two years before they are the starter., Arch did... I understand the move, but what does this say to the next "Arch" signing with us.
Or does this say Trey Owens has not shown enough in practice? And is this an automatic redshirt for KJ Lacey?
It is an unusual situation. If I were Trey Owens I would feel like it was my turn after Arch.
OTF is hearing the staff will be recruiting mostly out-of-state this week.
They should be hitting California, and then they'll transition to the Southeast region of the country in the following weeks.
