BTW, I'm getting CoD4 but what are the other great games out for the 360?

I just got one Saturday so it won't be me. I suck major behind right now 2k8 is freakin awesome!! I bought Madden as well but wasn;t too impressed at all with it. I'd suggest renting it first. Someone else on here told me that Bio-shock was a MUST!!

It is!! Damn that game was insane. Welcome to the 360 club. I stalled on getting a 360 till my friend forced me to.

Yeah I don't play Madden much, too frustrating.

I needed to know something because the computer does anything and everything it wants on offense almost. I mean back door cuts, screens, 3's, mid range shots, EVERYTHING.

Also, use Lockdown D against the player that has the ball. If he passes, switch players to guard the other player, and continue locking him down. Try to not choose a defender down low to guard someone without the ball, because 90% of the time he'll somehow get open and burn you. It takes a little to get used to, and you have to have patience. They will score on you even though you're locking them down, just not so often.

As for offense, it just takes some time getting used to. Just run some plays and you'll see that even if you're not that open, you'll still make a lot more shots than usual.

I wasn't too into the Multiplayer of it but it was good....the story didn't strike me as that great. But, the gameplay to me was great, and you can see how its affecting (effecting... i confuse those lol) games now. For example. Drake's Fortune is going off the same targeting and cover system.

That is really what made it a great game for me, it was all about strategy and taking cover not just run in and shoot .

MP was terrible, IMO. When I was playing Gears and R6Vegas a lot, I preferred R6 MP by far.

I was never lucky enough to pick that game up....did Vegas do the same MP thing on the other R6 games? Where, you get better weapons and armor as you gain kills, etc and then when somebody new comes in they get raped by the people that play all the time? That really put me off from Lockdown back in the day

Yeah, but the only unlockable weapon that people actually used was a SPAS shotgun, so it wasn't too bad.

Yeah it took me a while as well. But being on this board listening to you guys talk about how insane the sports games were, and the fact that I bought 2k8 for the PS2 and NOTHING changed but the freakin music, and they altered a few player's shots. I couldn't take it anymore.

I took you advice and adjusted the sliders some (not ridiculously in my favor) but enough to just make it a little more fair, and I must say that along with the lockdown D thing really helped me out. Don't get me wrong, the first game I lost by 1 from a buzzer beater from Ray Allen. And the second game I got destroyed as usual, but the computer wasn;t hitting not nearly as many shots as they normally hit, and they were missing some layups. And on offense my team has started moving around and stuff now. It's just that I have a team who suck on offense. So even though I still lost it was still fun this time around because the computer seemed at least human. Thanks for the hints!
