how many inches did he grow today? He's a 7 footer by now, no?
brb cross referencing some photos from yesterday's game with satellite imaging using the gps coordinates of the arena...

can confirm he's grown 0.2784 more inches since the end of preseason

Does he do anything at a plus level? Shooting? Passing? Ball handing? Athleticism? Short area quickness? Defense?

    maybe touch near the paint
for real...dude was dropping tear drops in the OKC game I don't think he did at all last night.

He looks like he is unsure of how to navigate the role he is being forced into. He is trying too hard to set people up and make passes instead of actually trying to score and open up the game for his teammates by being an offensive threat. imo trying to fit him as a backup PG is really dumb, he clearly does not have PG vision/handles/quickness/etc, so why play him out of position? his game is all theoretical at this point

but it's also been one game so i wont jump on the kid too much yet, really hope he can find his footing over the next few months

shoots down the logic of using a sample size to draw a conclusion and then uses that same logic to make the same kind of sloppy inference.
If you don't like that, you don't like SpursTalk basketball...!

He has tools, he just needs to be aggressive with them.
    That's the thing.
Just go out and do it, no matter what Pop says, no matter what he thinks the team needs.

Go out and be aggressive and let both teams adjust from there.

    He still fails?
Well then there will be answers to questions and more questions to be answered.

But at least we got to that point into him figuring out the player he can be for both himself and the team.

    Much easier said than done.

The thing is he’s being asked to play PG and trying to run the offense instead of going out there and trying to be aggressive and get a bucket. He’s using up more energy just trying to bring it up the court and getting the offense going instead of trying to score. Like a lot of other posters here I think he would be much better playing on the wing where he can spot up and shoot the three or just receive the ball and make a play instead of him trying to be some court general.

Not trying to compare situations at all obviously but I remember my HS coach trying to do that to me, making me play PG and I wasn’t comfortable with it and I was a much better player cutting, spotting up or making a play receiving a pass instead of dribbling up the court running the offense. But I will say DJ was not a PG whatsoever coming out of UW and his handles were much worse than current Primo and DJ has turned into a damn good PG.

Hearing those are tucked away at an undisclosed location in Buckhead Atl Spur

On a serious note won’t surprise me that Primo gets a nice bump in height. Multiple ppl close to him have commented in it like Sean Elliott and Keldon.

When it’s all said and done I could see Primo playing at 6’6 220ish. Joe Johnson archetype. The kid already has tree trunks for legs so a couple years of lifting and I think his upper body will really fill out.
    Well………

    No argument.
I'm wondering if Pop and Wright are outsmarting themselves.

They need to step back and look at things from a different perspective, it sounds like.

Can we stop having our SGs play ing PG and having them run the offense for no reason. We did the same to Lonnie in GL. you can say we ruined Derrick too by making him set up others instead of being aggressive and just shooting the ball. Gary Neal. Roger Mason Jr. Brent Barry. Pop just loves doing this now that I’m thinking about it

Pop was just singing his praises 2 days ago. Think they recently extended him for a 3rd year a week or so too. This is not a basketball move. Something happened.

Agreed. This is not a basketball move. And I can’t believe it’d be over something internal like a clubhouse fight.
