Yeah, it's pretty silly to give that moniker to a player that is there a max of 4 years, let alone 2.
Fingers crossed that it happens.
Some interesting things happening with the QB situation. Last night JUCO QB AJ Thigpen of Scottsdale CC tweeted that he may be throwing for Texas on Thursday. This comes before rumors start surfacing that the Max Wittek deal could be falling apart after UT found an issue they're not happy with. A mod on OrangeBloods confirms he's hearing the rumors as well. Below is some high school film of Thigpen:

Yeah, it's not looking good for Wittek...IT also posted some rumblings yesterday about some "issues" that may prevent his coming to Texas.

OrangeBloods reporting Texas has offered OL Garrett Thomas of Many, LA.
OL Toby Weathersby told A&M's Rivals site he plans on taking visits in the future.
Statesman saying the Wittek deal is off the table.
He has also supposedly deleted his Twitter account.
Update on QB Max Wittek from Inside Texas...their source says Wittek has a pending legal issue that is preventing him from enrolling at Texas, so UT basically has to move on even though the charges will likely be dropped. There is a remote possibility he could still enroll in the fall assuming those charges go away, but the timing of that doesn't really work for either party. Wittek needs to find a home and UT needs a QB now.

wittek would have been a loaner and expectations for ut next season or not unreasonable ones. it may work out for the best two years from now.

Per Max Olson, Coach Bedford was at Fort Bend Marshall today to see CB Kendall Sheffield.
24/7 saying Coach Bedford also went to Manvel to see 2016 WR Reggie Hemphill and 2016 S Deontay Anderson.
New name to know is 2016 TE Hunter Thedford of Comanche. Texas saw him today and he will camp in June:

Update on DT Daylon Mack of Gladewater (24/7):
“We talk regularly,” Mack told Horns247. “[Rumph] actually stopped by on Tuesday to check in on me. We talked later on that evening. Coach Rumph was telling me that they are building something special and to be looking at them this year. He also said for me to try and come up for a visit.”
“It’s (visiting Austin) a possibility,” Mack said. “I’m going to have to check and see with my parents first.”
