I'm not carrying a brief for or against Buzzfeed, but newspaper reporting has a lower standard for evidence than trials at law.
To pretend that legally certain results can be drawn from mere reporting is foolish; to draw folklorical conclusions of fact and character therefrom is normal and practically unavoidable.

its not hearsay if the statement was made by an opposing party in the suit. so if trump hypothetically were the defendant in a case, that kind of testimony from cohen would not be considered hearsay
