Does Wemby need a fancier hairdo? He went all plain Jane on us!
He could get 15 rebounds a night if he wanted, he's just not interested in rebounding right now, he'd rather run for a fast break, which there's definitely an argument for. My opinion is Pop will probably reign him in during the season though.

I don’t agree on this. Wemby beats every big man going down, and it’s going to be a fast game. He is a help defender for now at the post until he is NBA strong. Until then he should take advantage of fast breaks and transition offense ala circa 90’s with DRob running with the guys (don’t get me wrong I know DRob defended the post, but I’m talking about transition offense from defense).
It will be fun watching this board overreact to everything that Wemby and the Spurs try out these first couple years as he develops. Between the ignorance and paranoia, it will be glorious.
I mean, this board overreacts to everything. Suddenly Devin Vassell is the worst player ever and won't even make the rotation.
I think a lot of you have trouble separating the entire board from a small handful of posters
"small handful"?![]()
The response the "small handful" gets is the fun. Look how much play got out over the uncertainty of whether Wemby is a 4 or a 5. Insisting on wings when we are loaded on them.
Now Wemby is getting the ball on the wing and they are setting screens for him and he is leaking out on the break. OMG!
Exactly.
Yes. The board does not think Devin Vassell is the worst player and won't make the rotation. That is just ridiculous hyperbole that you made up. I would guess less than 5% of active Spurs forum posters hold that opinion
You don't see how suddenly Wembanyama is going his own way and defying coaches by leaking out all the time? And he's a miserable rebounder?
I would say 0% of the board actually has that opinion. There may be a few who enjoy the reaction they can get out of a few who take everything too seriously, but no one believes the guy they just extended for 5 years and $135 million isn’t cracking the rotation. Only 2 scenarios that would happen are injury or a trade.
Yes, I see a small handful of people saying that
nice to see Sochan and KJ are less sore,![]()
Damn NBA really featuring the Spurs now huh
14th sec: Initially, I thought Pop has good footwork and is teaching the players...but rewatched again and he travelled.

Can we read anything into the grouped heads on the board in the background?
He telling Wemby refs are not gonna call it![]()
Didn't say he's defying coaches, Pop gave him the green light to play however he wants for now, we'll see how it evolves when he actively starts coaching him. And Wembanyama leaking out is no news at all, he was like that in France as well. And he's not a bad rebounder, he can lead the league in rebounds this season if he wants to.
