I certainly didn't think we'd sweep the Suns. That's silly. BUT...this performace was downright terrible...abysmal.
I truly hope that they look at this game as such an embarrassment that they come out with guns blazing in the next game.
What a joke.![]()

Haven't any of you learned anything? Let me refresh your memory - 1995, 0.4sec, 3-pt play...
So let's just enjoy the games and stop calling the series over IN ANY FORM until we have four wins.
Thanks,
Ruff

Spurs got the split, but certainly did everything they could to pump up Suns' momentum going back to SA.
An embarrassing non-performance. Spurs never really played seriously. Couldn't score, couldn't get stops. Just ing pathetic.
3 bad games in a row for Manu...we saved his by moving him to the bench and now he doesn't have the legs, drive, energy, determination (or whatever you want to call it) to contribute. Yeah, yeah, yeah intangibles. intangibles. We need Manu to put some points on the board. Period.
Final score: Suns 101 - Spurs 81
WOW! This 1SUNSFAN is a basketball genius! Suns in SIX!![]()
Great move by D'antoni by starting Kurt Thomas. This guy should've been starting over James Jones period. Not just against Duncan.
We got what we wanted a split.
How classy of the suns to shoot that last second three.![]()
Enjoy the win suns
Thankfully, we have a long break before Game 3. I think Parker was playing hurt...so was Finley.
The spurs lost to denver once and now they lost to the suns. The suns in my opinion are a better team than denver so to lose to them isn't so bad. They're a great team as are the spurs.. the spurs were able to get game 1 without nash at the end and the suns were able to get game 2 when the spurs were having an off night. Its the playoffs and all that matters is the victory.. no excuses you either win or lose.
parker needed to be more aggressive
hope he was ok from the nash thing
long rest to get well
go home tonight
sleep in your bed watch film and improve
pop must call a play for manu
Sadly I totally agree.
And we wasted a vintage Duncan effort.
However, I think tonight was SOOOOOOO bad that it was like game 1 against the Nuggets - an aberration.
We'll come out hard on Sat.
Manu shouldn't see another minute.
suns shot 72% in 4
Did I see Bonner try a sky-hook?
manu plays better at home
HE ING BETTER
Strong D
The "next game" in a series is always important...but not always a must-win. But every game in a series, there will always be at least one person who labels it a "must win."
The term is so watered down now that I don't even know what people mean when they say it anymore. It lost its motivating factor a long time ago. It barely even conveys a sense of urgency.
How many times did we hear the nuggets call a game a "must-win"??? And after they lost that "must-win," they were still able to live another day...live to call the next game after that a must-win...
it is what it is...we lost. got a good ass kicking. should wake us up and get our focus back. we seemed content getting the split instead of going for the kill.
think they watched dallas to much
I really think Manu needs to start again. He needs to be on the court with Tim and Tony which should loosen things up for him a little, but Manu also needs to attack way more and stop jacking up threes all the time. This game looked like game from 2000-2002 against the Lakers which was NO ONE helping out TD. Great game from TD, but like other poster said above I'd give Tim an A everyone else gets an F. Gotta hit shots and make plays. No stupid turnovers. PATHETIC performance.
Well no, you were lucky.
They didn't run and run.
They didn't do anything to Duncan.
But they did catch the Spurs on a night when they gave up, and managed to play decent ball themselves without being the Suns we all know and love. If your team had played really well, I'd say it, but this was more a case of the Spurs giving up. They looked tired and beaten up. I bet they'll be glad to get home.
They had to shoot idiot! The shot clock was running out? Did you want another dunk in your grill instead?
Is anyone else here sick of David Blaine???
next game i'd like to see some motion and crisp ball movement from the spurs
Come on guys. I feel depressed too. Just remember Game 4 of the 2005 Finals. OK?
