A moron, recommended by a TV so-called finance guy, fellates Trash, gets nominated for the Fed
“IVANKA WOULD BE A BETTER PICK”: TRUMP’S FED NOMINEE TRASHED BY EVERYONE WITH A BRAIN
Stephen Moore, who is so perpetually wrong that at least one newspaper has said it will never publish him again, is not a popular choice.
his decision Friday to nominate a man who could be
charitably described as a moron
for a seat on the Federal Reserve Board was unique in that it was near-universally panned as a horrible idea.
“Here’s my challenge to any informed voter of any partisan leaning,” tweeted University of Michigan economist Justin Wolfers of the news that the president thinks Heritage Foundation economist Stephen Moore should play a role shaping monetary policy.
“Call your favorite economist.
Whether they’re left, right, libertarian or socialist,
none of them will endorse Stephen Moore for the Fed. He’s manifestly unqualified.”
“By the way,” Wolfers added, “and I’m totally serious about this—
I think Ivanka would be a better pick for the Fed than Stephen Moore.”
So how did Moore, who
gleefully described the 2017 tax cut as “death to Democrats” and has
said that everyone at the Fed should be fired for raising interest rates,
land the nomination? By sucking up to the Big Guy, of course:
Moore, who isn’t a Ph.D. economist but holds a master of arts degree in the discipline, got
on Trump’s radar with a March 13 Wall Street Journal column he co-authored that championed Trump’s policies and
blamed the Fed for slowing the economy.
Trump’s chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow showed the op-ed to Trump over lunch last week, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Trump remarked to Kudlow that he should have appointed Moore to be Fed chairman,
the people said, and
directed Kudlow to call Moore and gauge his interest in a board seat.
This week, Trump called Moore himself and asked if he’d accept a nomination to the board.
“Stephen Moore is a particularly poor choice for the Federal Reserve Board,”
Tim Duy, an economics professor and a Fed expert at the University of Oregon, told the Times.
“He appears more devoted to pursuing a far-right economic agenda than willing to understand the complexity of economic policy.”
Obviously, for President Buy and Sell, that’s all part of the charm.

Moore’s own words are hardly re-assuring.
“I’m kind of new to this game, frankly,
so I’m going to be on a steep learning curve myself about
how the Fed operates,
how the Federal Reserve makes its decisions,”
Moore told Bloomberg Television.
“It’s hard for me to say even what my role will be there,
assuming I get confirmed.”

So will the Repugs confirm Moore?

Former Trump associate accused of trying to launder stolen money through Trump company
The special counsel's inquiry isn't the end of investigations into Trump's inner circle and business practices.
the president’s former business partner Felix Sater is accused in federal court of trying to launder billions of dollars of stolen money through Trump Tower Moscow. Sater also allegedly laundered millions through down-payments on condo purchases at the Trump SoHo property.
BTA Bank and the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, filed a lawsuit at a federal court in Manhattan on Monday
alleging Sater conspired with Ilyas Khrapunov, a Kazakh businessman,
to use $4 billion allegedly stolen years earlier from the bank and city to finance the the Trump Tower Moscow project in 2012.
Plans to build the tower were dropped in the final months of the 2016 presidential election,
and the building never materialized, but
Sater found other ways to launder the money, the lawsuit says.
