and then here's this from Herman continuing with his curve balls, he mentions both QB's does he really expect to hold onto both and are both sides okay?
Oh . I just was NOT expecting him to commit to us. Lol.
Im clueless.

Seriously...
WTF?
Nahlin: I expect Thompson will decommit based on a call I just had. Also per the call, I don't expect this to hurt with any Houston targets.
Oh good gosh.
This is nuts.
Nobody could've predicted this.
In the seven years we've done this thread, it's probably the craziest twist I've seen.
Even crazier if UT keeps Thompson.
Herman obviously isn't going to settle in recruiting.
Convince them both.
Competetion and all that rot.
thompson quote
“I’ve been knowing,” Thompson said of Rising’s commitment and whether or not it impacts his pledge to Texas. “Me and the [Texas] coaches have a very good relationship. I knew they planned to take 2 from the jump. Their current QB room is thin!”
Regardless of who signs on the dotted line next signing period still good to see that the staff can recruit from coast to coast and there in between. To have a guy from Florida, California, Ok and Texas out of 4 recruits shows great range.
Quote from QB Casey Thompson (Burnt Orange Nation):
“I’ve been knowing,” Thompson said of Rising’s commitment and whether or not it impacts his pledge to Texas. “Me and the [Texas] coaches have a very good relationship. I knew they planned to take 2 from the jump. Their current QB room is thin!”
"AND THEN I WENT TO TEXAS and got that feeling..."

Man at first read I wanted to believe this so bad as 2 top tier qbs at a postion of need would be any schools dream but I've since checked Thompsons Twitter feed as I've done multiple times tonight and he's since removed his pinned tweet about his commitment to Texas. Pretty obvious its a sign of a decommitment.
^^^ or a soon to come decommitment. Only thing that would make me believe he's sticking around is if he released a statement saying he's still 100% in place of his commitment tweet. I highly doubt that happens, until then he gone.
Odd whatever the case may be he has repinned the tweet as was the case when he committed to Texas. Guess it's been a long and interesting day for us all. Definitely a situation to tightly monitor. We'll see what happens.
From one of the national mods at 24/7 on new QB commitment Cameron Rising:
Decision making is one of his best traits.
Had 40 TDs and just one INT as a sop re where he emerged as a national recruit. Threw 14 TDs with 4 INTs in a shortened-season as a junior while completing over 60 percent of his passes.
I've seen Rising a couple times. Throws well on the the move. Anticipates well. Sees the field well. Accurate with the football.
Rising is mobile, he's thick which adds to his dual-threat ability.
"They're getting a playmaker big time," private QB coach Steve Clarkson told me in the past. "Extremely athletic. He can make all the throws. He's a very, very gifted dual-threat player. He's well schooled, plays for Keith Smith who is a former college player who is his offensive coordinator. He's very nurtured with all the little nuances. In terms of a compe ion he has almost single handily carried that team at Newbury Park. Compares very favorable to (2018 USC commit) Matt Corral over at Oaks Christian."
"He's the ultimate gym rat too. This guy works six days a week easily."
