this is TRAGIC.. he should watch "Our" rangers.. I tell ya, this was the best part of coming home.. watching rangers games.. i know their record sucks worse than a hoover and nothing they have done so far has been great.. but they have some great guys in the farm who will pay divedends... i was fortunate enough to make it to some missions games vs. the triple-a farm club of the rangers and there is LOTS of hope...

Part of the reason I've distanced myself from the Rangers is I hate Dallas fans. Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks ... they all suck. Part of me wouldn't be happy if the Rangers won a world series because that would bring joy to Mav fans.And yes, Skanks ruined baseball by making it about big money... how are small markets or big markets with little fanbase (like "our" rangers) supposed to compete... as much as i love my Cowboys, i know they are partially responsible for no coverage of rangers...

But yeah, I started following baseball hardcore first. Starting with the '88 world series up until the '94 strike, I was baseball fanatic. But that '94 strike killed me because my Expos were going to win the championship that year. That was a freakin' wicked team. Best record in the league and they weren't even play up to their capabilities yet. That was one of the best teams I've ever seen.
And the Rangers of that era were damn cool. '89-94 I probably watched 90% of Rangers games. I was Jeff Frye's number one fan.
Maybe one day i'll watch baseball again but that won't be until the economics of the game is fixed.
