Melo to the Bulls means Gasol has one fewer team to choose from right?
Apparently, Sheridan himself backed off on that stance in a later radio interview.

Wasn't there some talk of them joining in NY? so possibly two. Unless Pau likes the idea of playing under Phil and Fisher without Melo.
He was on with Cowherd this morning and said that he stands wholeheartedly behind his report as 100% accurate and LeBron is going to Cleveland. He was EXTREMELY defensive and quite arrogant, but he didn't waiver at all from his initial report. Perhaps he did much later in the day, but not when I heard him.
NY has Melo's bird rights don't they? And with that NY could only offer a little over $3 mil to Pau. Chicago doesn't have that luxury I don't think. If they sign Melo I don't think they can offer Pau anything. Need some input from the smarter people here though. Not sure which exceptions Chi has left.
If they are signing Melo using cap space, they won't have the MLE or BAE at there disposal. I suppose Gasol would have to settle for the minimum.
EDIT: Gasol was always mentioned as a "plan B" in Chicago if they didn't get Melo. I have not heard ANY SUGGESTIONS that Chicago could get them both.
I wonder if Melo knows he will have to play 40 minutes a game every game in Chicago
Bulls were in the tax level last year and only have the Mini MLE as well. Signing Gasol was all predicated on Boozer getting amnestied and them making a few more moves. Even trading Boozer, the Bulls at the very least had to take back 13.4 mil in a trade. Bulls don't have too many expendable assets which is why most of these moves have been pipe dreams at this point.
He already led the league last year averaging nearly 40 minutes per game.
That's playing one way, when Thibs asks him to play defense he will ask if that's an expansion team
I think it depends on how much Melo is willing to sign for and whether they would have to do a sign and trade to N.Y for Gibson to free up space. I think its less likely if he does decide on the Bulls.
I also heard they may pursue Lan Stephenson or maybe even Trevor Ariza as well (I haven't heard his name specifically but less of a uncertainty than Lan) Gasol would be a good fit but kind of a let down if they lose out on Melo, amnesty Boozer and then sign Gasol, Mirotic, and McDermott. They'd still be better but still a bit of a let down.
They could move Boozer to L.A. for Gasol (someone mentioned this earlier on the Gasol thread). They'd get Gasol and not have to pay Boozer off the books. They'd probably need to throw in a pick or maybe someone like Tony Snell. I could see Gasol on a 3 years/ 24 million deal.
And weird.
is gonna burn in Ohio soon.
I knew they couldn't join each other in Chicago.
lol Cavs owner can start writiing his letter 2.0 now just in case first.
It would be sweet if there was a double cross about to go down and Bobby Ramos was there to ask questions
Right after Bron announces he is going to Cleveland
Ramos: So Dwyane are you going to have another Lack Luster season where you miss 30+ games?
