I'm 1/4 of the way through an internship on the city desk at the San Angelo Standard-Times. I just started this week on the Cops/Crime/Courts beat. It's a fun beat. It keeps me in hard news, which is what I think I'm better at.

Plus, if I can handle this beat, I can probably handle any beat.

That's pretty badass. I wrote for my college paper for a semester but I got fired because I kept making up the stories I was writing. I was never good at writing about facts, I would much rather make up. But good luck with it dude. Having endured over 18 hours of journalism classes, I admire anyone that can make it a career.
