It was an OK speech. He was a bit all over the place and didn't really stay on one issue.
but McCain is not a speech guy. Hes alot better in townhall meetings, and debates. Thats where he shines when he speeks without teleprompters and can speek free and easy.
What he said about education being "the civil rights issue of our generation" was pretty damn good.

This guy is supposed to have all this experience and yet we never hear any specifics about any of it. He always uses the POW story as a crutch. Where are his policies? He sounds just as hollow as Obama to me and that's inexcusable for someone who's supposedly so "experienced".
Yeah I agree, I wasn't a huge McCain fan in the primaries, but he would be a darn good president.

Wasn't it maudlin horse when John Kerry "reported for duty?" My grandfather rarely talked about his service, it was not something he talked about lightly, and when he did, it certainly wasn't to brag about it. It was a very private thing for him.

No, we're just paying off the warlords and tribal leaders to keep the peace now. Also, the country has kind of been bled dry, literally. There's not as many targets left anymore in a war-torn wasteland.
