Farmer is going to be a difficult cut

Stoudamire seems to have settled and is playing okay

Bonner's offense is better than Tolliver's, but Tolliver hustles for the boards. Bolliver is a nightmare as two players, could be nice as one

Everyone says "Tolliver can really shoot it." But he can't.

Tolliver in 4 games and a half :
    FG : 13/45
    3P : 5/22

After summer league, I wondered whether Tolliver's shooting was a fluke. Might be too early to call it a fluke but it sure seems like it.

Amazingly enough, Pop and the Spurs don't seem to care about his shooting percentages even though he has no history of being a deadeye outside of summer league.

I just don't see what Stoudamire provides that others can't... hes short, doesn't play defense.. mabe he passes ok, I mean we have mason... where does stoud. fit...

Mason is a shooting guard; Stoudamire would play point behind Hill.

This man-crush is a real head scratcher.

I hope they see the light and cut Tolliver. He doesn't deserve a roster spot.

salim isnt a point though. in fact, masons probably better at running the point than salim is.

When Pop considered that a player is a great shooter , he doesn't care when he is in a bad shooting stretch. Remember lest year when Finley was ice cold, Pop just told him to continue to shoot and not to worry.

Now, I also wonder why pop put Tolliver in the "great shooter" category. It's odd given his shooting resume. Maybe he is/was great during practices.

    Are you watching the game???

How the heck can you pick Stoudamire over Farmer in half a game? And from what I've read he is not a point guard.

Salim's function is not to distribute the ball, it's to cross the time line and shoot it when he's open. Some point guards do that.

As long as he doesn't turn the ball over and halt the offense (or either of the two), then i'm fine with a scoring point guard.

If Ian was healthy and playing Tolliver would be cut.

With Ian injury Tolliver will stay unless Pop choose Watkins, but I don't think he'll do this

How have I picked Stoudamire over Farmer? Too much crack in your pipe, methinks.

hmm that sounds like what Tim is basing his opinion on. They both must have seen Tolliver light it up in practice. The thing is practice doesn't always translate to games does it?

well, then we are right back with the original question: what does salim provide that others dont already? why not just have mason fill that role? he did just fine in pretty much that same role last year (3rd line reserve scoring point).
