You are such a homer. JET is a damn good player. And now you know how we feel about Bowen - from our perspective he's a nozzle on the court but by all accounts a classy guy off it. The same applies to JET.
Jason Terry is a decent player. Career averages around 16 ppg isn't bad. But let's not get carried away...there aren't really a lot of teams lining up for an undersized SG who can't defend.

Now, I know there are other's out there who speak differently, but I've never argued that Bruce Bowen does not use questionable tactics when DEFENDING his opponent. But, I've never seen Bruce throw a punch, and I've never seen Bruce horsecollar an opponent in mid-flight. There's a distinct difference between clutching and grabbing (like Bowen does), and downright attempts to injure (like punching and tackling).

I didn't put JET in the Kobe/Wade class. Lots of teams would love to have a clutch guy like JET.

I've Bowen kick a guy in the back. I've seen him kick Wally World in the face. But I guess that's just good ol' fashioned hardnosed defense.

You get that one from Foxworthy or Larry The Cable Guy?
Now I don't care who you are, that right there is funny.

If you eat grande-size nachos for breakfast from Taco Bell, you may be a Spurs fan.

Seriously, what is this, like the fourth flagrant Terry has committed against the Spurs?

should have been a flagrant two.

    that little .
. You sure do like to post some stupid-ass .

If Terry is your 'clutch guy' then I guess that helps explain your success.

Anyway, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. I could argue that Bruce kicked Allen in the back to get him off of his leg, or I could tell you that he fell for a head-fake and accidentally kicked Wally, but you wouldn't buy any of it. Just like you could try and convince me that Terry punched Fin in the nuts for a really good reason, and that last's night's foul wasn't really that bad.

Are you a Heat fan? Are you a Warrior fan? Who the are you to diss JET's clutch skills? Last time I checked he helped send your team fishing.

    Nope

I'd never argue that. Look at my handle.

and that last's night's foul wasn't really that bad
It wasn't. It's an F1 and he'll get a small fine. He can afford it.

    .

I never wish injury on anyone, but it'd be awesome if he fell and broke his leg and was out for the year tomorrow at practice
    . him.
    That doesn't make any sense:

I don't see what the big deal is. Its a flagrant foul, nothing more, and it helped his team extend the game. Yes Terry is a (I refuse to call him JET, there is only one JET) but people are making it seem like he was trying to kill Tony.

    besides..........

At least it's good to see that Aggiehoop got is still a crybaby little after every Mavs-Spurs game, even after his team actually wins
Activating the manic part of his psychological profile is just too easy.

Why is it always about beating the Spurs? Last time I checked, 'clutch' meant winning a damn championship more than it meant having a nice run at it.

I'm not a Heat fan at all, but I know I watched Terry go 7-25 (including 2-11 from three point range) in Game 6 of the 2006 NBA finals.

if this was the first time that Dirk choked in the fourth quarter, i would agree with you 100%.

All great NBA players get fatigued but they respond in the clutch. TD played 2 less minutes than Dirk and he will still able to deliver in the post at crunchtime. So if a reported asks Dirk why has missed almost all his shots in the 4th, he should say it was because he was tired. Bull

I used to start threads last year in the nba forum all the time, led "late game special" They were all about Dirk and his late game heroics. I might have to bring that back
Are we seriously going with the Dirk chokes meme for last night? Spurs fans, along with Suns fans, have no business EVER calling Dirk a choker. He owns your team just about 90% of the time...cause you have nobody to guard him.

He's clutch against your team. He's clutch against the Rockets. He's clutch against quite a few teams. I would think that success against the best team in the NBA over the past 5 years would be worth something. I would think at this point that the Mavs have earned respect from the Spurs and their fans, considering we sent you guys fishing.

I thought the foul was hilarious, Terry just rolled him over. Dumb foul, may have won the game for the Spurs
    .

Uh no. It actually extended the game to a 2nd OT. He lets Parker score, that's 2 points. Only converting 1 FT and not scoring on the ensuing possession is 1 point.

I love Tony, I do....by why can't he ever hit 2 FT's in a row? Duncan has wokred on it considerably during the offseason, or at least that what it looks like. The game should be over. Damn.
Don't get crazy now. I'll take Tony at the line over Tim any day.

I would think at this point if the Mavs were as accomplished as you think they are, you wouldn't worry about the respect you get from anyone, especially the Spurs and their fans.

The Mavs were a good team...they played a great series against the Spurs, and deserved to win. However, they then proceeded to choke against a GREATLY inferior opponent in the Finals. Win that series, win respect...choke it away, get reminded about it until you prove otherwise.

It's just dumb to hear Spurs fans piggybacking what Warrior and Heat fans say. You guys should know better. I will defend my team within reason, just as you would.

The Mavs did enough to win that series, but Bennett Salvatore had other ideas. Plenty of non-Mavs fans have said the same (Phil Jackson, Tracy McGrady, Bill Simmons). Mavs have nothing to hang their heads about vis a vis the 06 Finals. Warriors is another story.
