Yesterday I meant. Apologies.
Doh! Beat me by seconds.......
Yesterday I meant. Apologies.
@ geek
Remember Blake's Malik Rose blogs?
All I said was that if the Spurs were thinking of doing the VC or Salmons trade (one that DID NOT INCLUDE MANU IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM) that Manu getting hurt would not make them more urgent to do so.
If those trades were on the table (ONES THAT DO NOT INCLUDE MANU BEING TRADED) that they would probably do it.
Even when I explain, you still act like an idiot and cannot comprehend. Funny that you said guys like me need to be "flammed", ironic coming from a flamer.
Not to be a smart ass, but who's your source for that?
He probably just decided to finally mention it since it kept bothering him. Manu is nearly untouchable, you're not going to get the same level of talent in return.
Although he is not Untouchable like TP and Tim. TP becuase he's the point and the youngest and Tim, well because he's Tim. I don't see any scenario where you get as much valure in return.
Still want to know EricB's source for the notion that this is a "phantom injury."
Manu wants in on the game huh?![]()
If I gave up my source, then he/she wouldn't be a source anymore.
Good times back then.
So Eric you have a source that says this is a "phantom injury?" If it is that, I think this is to give him 2 extra days rest for the Detroit game, I can not believe or even start to think that the Spurs will trade him.
Manu, fab, bowen for bosh.....Re-sign bowen for min. after being cut. Noticed Bosh was being held out tonight as well (think its his knee)
That's a convenient way to dodge the question. I could say that my source is telling me that Manu's probably got a torn ligament in his ankle, suffered when he slipped in the shower after practice yesterday.
I'm not asking for a specific name; but without something beyond "I'm hearing . . .," your thought seems about as plausible as mine.
All he said is that this injury is a "phantom" injury.
I agree. There's certainly no reason to trade a healthy Manu. At least not for just Vince Carter, all due respect to him.
It is hard to trade Manu for many reasons: he makes so little money for what he provides, he is more of an "x-factor" than a franchise player and the fans love him.
Not to mention he is one of those players that would really only help a contending team, he is not a "rebuilding" piece so that narrows down the list of suitors.
What do you want, a name?
I don't understand what you want from me.
I just said I don't need a name. But is your source someone in the media? someone associated with the Spurs basketball operations? An AT&T Center employee? Some guy who sold Manu a burger at dinner last night?
Something beyond "I'm hearing . . ." would be helpful to believing what you're saying.
Again, I'm not trying to bust your chops; I'm just trying to get the picture of what's going on here. If you have a source that's close to the situation, that would help me to believe what "you're hearing."
The Spurs FO would never hear the end of it (and rightfully so).
Very true.
Wich is what makes "Manu is being traded" all the more strange.
I don't know how the said source would react to me revealing that much so I'm sorry, you'll just have to trust me on this, but, I can't. Its a really good source, so I don't know if I can give it up.
Ya but sometimes you have to think about the future and not think with your hearts. There is just not many scenarios where trading Manu makes sense, so we don't have to really worry about it.
But if the Spurs were to trade Manu, they had better grab something spectacular or else...
Just lie to FWD, who cares, no one on here will know the difference anyways.
Quit being unreasonable FWD, he does not need to nor should he give any info.
He really needed another night off after being off about a week already? Talk about not caring about playoff seeding...
Something fishys going on here....
