Gooden's O is great, but his D is still lousy. He's always been a player lacking good defensive instincts.

you also have to consider that this is Gooden's 3rd game in 2 months, and one of the games was a 4-minute game..and he's still learning the system..this guy's going to be good..

yeah, hes never had the best defensive instincts but as long as he doesnt get backed down so easily like bonner then he'll be fine.

ive loved what he has given us so far so thats a good sign in his first real game as a spur.

DRob features twice in that new NBA commercial.

    Not enough Duncan/Ginobili though.

Hmm Clyde Drexler might get my fist in his face if I ever see him. If he wants to advocate violence.

I didn't realize he is suck a ing head.
They were talking about the pie in the "spurs fan" face by the mascot. Similar to stunts the Coyote plays at the ATT center. It was a joke.

love the aggressiveness from Gooden. If he can play like this he will remove a lot of weight off Duncan/Parker shoulders. Have a post up player coming off the bench.

I haven't seen anything bad yet though, which is good..he didn't contest Lowry's shot on the pick and roll, but I'm not sure if the strategy wasn't to let Lowry take the shot instead of driving since he's a quick player with good driving skills..

where have you been disappointed with his D?..

the blocking foul against him was bad perimeter D, and the shot he allowed under the basket was also bad perimeter D..he isn't a shot blocker and he isn't going to be a GOOD defender, but he just has to be average..

we've managed to have the 4th best D in the NBA, despite having Mason and Bonner starting, so I think we'll manage..it's a proven system..

Can you imagine him leading the 2nd unit along with Ginobli?

I don't totally agree. He was a good pickup, no question, but what we really lack is another weakside shotblocker, which is NOT Gooden.

We aren't going to beat the Lakers with offence, it's got to be D, and we still haven't solved that problem.
