It's pretty well known that Dirk gets less respect from the officials than other players, people get away w/ more on the perimeter v Dirk because he's 7 foot.

Mavs got ed by the refs for a 2006 championship yet this sissy cuckold implies the refs favor us

Hornets got a load of favorable calls tonight.

So what did DALLAS think of the their future PG tonight?

    I was impressed.

Hornets should do CP3 a favor and do such a trade. CP3 deserves Dirk and JET, not David West and Melvin Ely.

This team has had a talent drain over the past couple of years, but what a difference having a vintage 2006 Josh back makes.

For some reason, B Scott's pussy hurts over something...

    http://mavsblog.dallasnews.com/archi...ered-abou.html

Byron Scott is all hot and bothered about something

Not sure what exactly the Mavs did to get under New Orleans coach Byron Scott's skin, but he was pretty perturbed about tonight's game.

"I think the way they kind of acted when they were playing tonight, I think that we should have a little more fire in our belly for Sunday's game, you know with all the antics they were doing," Scott said. "Rubbing it in, showing off, I don't know what you want to call it. But all those antics, I am old school and it didn't sit well with me, and I hope it didn't sit well with our guys."

Perhaps Scott was miffed at Antoine Wright, who had to be separated from Hornets swingman James Posey in the first quarter.

I would wonder if this is a continuation of Scott's beef with Jerry Stackhouse, but I doubt that Stack did too much trash talking while wearing a suit on the bench.

Whatever it was, the fact that the Mavs are carrying themselves with some swagger ought to sit well with MFFLs

Yeah I read that and did not understand it. I saw our bench was enthusiastic, but so? Isn't that what a bench was supposed to do?

Cp3 was the one who last year arrogantly said "he cant guard me" (he's right ), flops all over the court, whines... And West is the average PF who touched the cheek of a hall of famer. Not sure what's causing his pussy to hurt.

Don't know why Scott is acting out of character. He usually just stands on the sidelines with his arms folded and with a dumbass look on his face like he doesn't know what he's doing coaching.

What do you think is the deal with his mini turn around? Some have said it's coincided with the addition of Armstrong to the bench.

It's nice to see, adds another element to our team. Obviously our guys in blue aren't a threat in the West, but meh, nobody really is to the Lakers.

I think benching Brandon Bass for Marc Jackson and now seeing how well Bass is playing for the Mavs makes BS hate the Mavs more. Funny how BS's influence led to the departure of Smith and Bass. He's almost as bad as Sean Payton.

the last 3 wins have been great but dont forget they have all been at home...if Mavs roll into NO and beat the Hornets them I will be extremely excited about the playoff possibilites in the first round

That's gonna be a tough one, we always shoot bricks in the afternoon it seems (except v PHX)

If we shoot well we have a shot, I don't think we can win w/ 40% shooting on the road. Rims were not ing friendly to the guys in blue tonight!

Game sunday will be tough, thats why that Memphis game still pisses me off. Sunday should have been a throw away game but now there all must wins. IF mavs lose sunday they better hope SA and HOU takes out NO and LA beats Utah or else its back to teh 8th seed

I'm more pissed about Butler's incredibly lucky shots against the Heat and Kings. The Hornets "should" be 46-33 right now.

Grizzlies game was just "meh", missed a few shots.

He has one more year on his deal and not a lot of time left to restore his rep in order to get another one.

All season long the Mavs have been a two steps forward, one step back kind of team. They've had impressive wins throughout the season, but they have always immediately handed back any progress they make by quite a few 30-point beatdowns on the road, from the elite (Bos, Cle) to bottom-feeders (Mem, OKC, the New Jersey Devinaires).

They've been on a roll lately and a lot of it has to do with Josh playing like it's still 2006. We'll see if anything is different Sunday in NOLA. They can't have the mindset of "We needed a split and already have one." They have to go for the sweep.
