You aren't high on Hairston that you're leaving him out of that least?
True. I want Hill playing as much point guard as possible. I'm not expecting Nando to play either, so Squeaky can back Hill up without pushing for any minutes like the others might.
Marcus will get a chance in camp with the real team to see if he fits -- if he isn't thrown into some trade.

Williams was starting to generate some intrerest from NBA teams at the end of the season, and he's now an asset the Spurs can use. Note that Hairston is still out there; I imagine the Spurs explained the situation to him and told him he's in their plans this season.
Exactly. I am almost sure this is what happened. It was late in the season and Hairston was not going to make much of an impact anyway. He still got paid, so no harm no foul.
Something to note about Spurs SL roster is the lack of prospects PF and PF/C aside the one under Spurs contract or whose NBA rights are owned by Spurs.
To fill the PG and PF/C slots, Spurs have selected 2 Toros (Squeaky and Dawson) that aren't basically NBA prospects. It quite shows that Spurs aren't looking at prospects for these spots and are fine with the young players they have.
On the opposite side, there are tons of interesting SG/SF not under contracts with Spurs in the roster. One of them could end up on Spurs roster next year.
July 12th can't come soon enough..
Speaking of that, is basketball season in China over yet?
He is playing with Rockets SL team.
Blair, Hill, Gist, Hairston, Mahinmi, and McClinton playing together. I cant wait!!!!!
In addition to the Spurs, I'm interested in watching Ibaka, he'll be in both leagues for OKC.
At a glance, Portland looks like it has the most complete team after the Spurs -- the Hornets and Nuggets are a little less deep, especially at the point. The Grizz could field very compe ive frontlines if nothing else. I don't know enough about the Thunder to have an opinion.
Is Austin Nichols playing with anybody at all?
I'd like to see Antonio Anderson get some decent minutes or maybe come to Austin. He was an excellent defender for coach Cal and was a very good all-around player. He just needs to work on his 3-pt. shooting and FT stroke a bit.
Did Josh Heytvelt catch on with someone? Other than a cell mate...
Yeah, I wonder what happened to Heytvelt since most had him going high second round. It makes you wonder if they found out more information on his drug habits.
I think adding Blair, Gist, McClinton...are solid additions and then maybe Harriston or Antonio Anderson would also be another good pick. I think that Anderson will be signed to the Toros and if he works on his 3 he would be a great NBA defender!
He'll be playing with the Wizards' Summer League squad. - http://www.washingtonwizardsblog.com/2009/07/01/2735/
Marcus "Marquinhos" Vinicius is on the team. Interesting. Long, tall 3 that can shoot the 3. Pretty raw though. Nice guy too, I've met him about 3 or 4 times when he was with the OKC Hornets. Hes from Brazil, so hes probably been on our radar for the last decade or so being foreign and all.
Kinda as hoping Austin Nichols would be on the squad.... Any news on where hes going to be playing? hope its not dallas
I would have loved that Temple player Christmas on our squad. Oh well.
Clippers
SO did anyone answer the question to if/where these games will be broadcast???
I'd love to see Chip have a crack at fixing those shooting-mechanics..
I was actually pretty surprised to see his assist numbers where they were(around 5 IIRC), and we know the kid can play D, but I'm curious to know his legit measurements since it doesn't look like he was measured at the combine.
He's definitely someone to keep an eye on.![]()
Some should be on NBA.com, NBA TV and some local coverage. Haven't seen this year's broadcast schedule yet, but here's last year's coverage.

It was 4.5 apg, but he was one of the slashers in the dribble-drive attack offense Memphis runs. I mean the kid was in there as a minutes leader those years with players like CDR, Rose, Dorsey, and Tyreke,. He's a very solid player.
