Not a travel by Carter. Took two steps, and jumped into his shot. It looked like he shuffled his feet, but he didn't.
If that's a travel, so is every crab-dribble and hop-step that Lebron makes.
If only the Pistons had drawn Orlando in 09 instead of Cleveland... Sheed just sees Howard and smells blood...

I'll stay on the Magic bandwagon 'til the wheels fall off. They're going to need to exhibit some resolve to move forward though.
Paul Pierce and his slow ass delivery...shoot the 3 quickly when you're open idiot

de ja vu? looks like orlando might be last yrs cleveland
So I guess this is the Game 1 thread?
So far, liking what I see of the Celtics, besides Pierce's continued decline. Thankfully, Tony Allen has found the Rejuvenation machine... I can't believe how much better he's playing than he did throughout the regular season.
I was never particularly impressed with his help defense. It has always been his man-on defense in the post that set him apart. I guess he does help a little when the SF funnels an opposing SG or SF to the paint for Sheed to use his length, but that is usually what he let someone else do when he was with the Pistons, either Ben Wallace, or Okur, or even Jason Maxiell...
i can't believe it as well, but the magic hasn't played a compe or for like a month so i won't give all the credit to the C's just yet.
Garnett's help defense has really fallen off.
LOL at carter shooting ugly jumpshots when he can drive to the rim at will..Orl will hit a few three's & be right back into it
Ugly fade away by KG...
Dont be surprised if the Lakers or Suns shoot this bad tomorrow ...long rest = rust.
But Celts playing well ...
I am loosing so much respect for Van Gundy, and I mean the announcer right now...
Uggh, Carter, why?
Gortat is a gamer. Orlando needs to force some inside out and try to open up the lane with some 3's.
Reddic needs to play.
That 4/5 screen will confuse Lewis all day long.
Gortat is making a bigger impact then Dwight hahaha
I do agree with you that his post defense is what has helped to define him defensively for much of his career, but I don't think it is as strong as it used to be at this point. He's like Shaq now in that he fouls a lot swiping at the boul rather than moving his feet. But those same hands break up a lot of easy scoring opportunities in the paint, etc.
I remember when Garnett would have hammered that after running it down from end to end after that steal...
