Ha, sorry about that. I was scared for a while ... til they told me I was going to die. That just pissed me off

But yeah, I feel fine now. Since late Saturday I've gotten better at a fast rate. I gotta believe it's due to all those who were praying for me. I'm beyond thankful
LJ, I just sent Kori an notification message on this, please get with her for the content. It'd be a pleasure for my wife and I to have the opportunity to pray for you and your family sometime. I haven't been on this website in months so this is all surprising news to me. I'm glad to hear that you are recovering and gaining strength. You'll remain in my prayers. Blessings to you and your family, man!

Btw, I'm obviously not living in Brazil any longer. We've been in San Antonio for several months now and aren't sure when we'll return to Brazil.

I'll have to look up the name of the bacteria but the docs said it's extremely rare. Like there are only a few cases in medical literature. The bacteria was susceptible to penicillin but I had so much of it in my body by the time I went to the hospital, it took a long time to finally knock it out.

But yeah basically it was a huge fluke to get the bacteria in my body. And then it created a softball size abscess in my liver that had to be drained. Along the way I also got a bad case of pneumonia (which was also infected by the bacteria) ... plus it messed with my system so much that I got anemia and diabetes. I had to get five blood transfusions and they were shooting huge amounts of insulin in me to control my blood sugar. My heart rate kept going from like 140 all the way up to 180. Oh, and I had fevers everyday of at least 103.

The doctors really have no explanation on how I got sick in the first place. I guess it was just bad luck and I randomly came down with some ancient bacterial disease.

Thankfully now everything is a lot better. I just gotta pray for no setbacks and I should be good before too long.
I need to share my step sister's testimony with you. She spent 8 months in the hospital with a rare infection, was given literally minutes to live a few times...but God brought her through to His glory. Anyway, I'm so happy to hear that you are doing well, and God works in our best interests even through the toughest of trials. Sounds like you've got a special calling in life, bro!

    Welcome back, Timvp!

I had no idea you were going through all you were--sure would have been sending some prayers your way if I had that's for certain. I'm glad you made it and are back to help maintain some sense of intelligence around here...just try not to get too worked up and stay relaxed.
