That was back in 2007-08, when Garnett, Pierce and Allen were at their best, Rondo was only young and learning. Now, Rondo is hitting his prime while the likes of Garnett, Pierce and Allen are just about finished.

Boston either clear-out all their dead wood and work from the ground up, building a new team around Rondo, or they trade Rondo and try to get some decent players in return, and keep Garnett, Pierce and Allen to help with the transition.
