They could try to speak/communicate with someone with respect and inquire about this persons taste, skills,likes,dislikes,etc.
Or they could put their brain on auto-pilot and assume they know everything there is to know.
What do you do for a living chump? How do you feel about yourself? How do you feel when someone attacks you and insults you without even knowing the first thing about you?
This is human interaction.

Secondly, really? You're bringing up the historian bit? RaZon can share whatever facts he wants, but when he continually referred to himself as a historian I wanted to know just what he meant and how he was using the term. I was asking for clarification.
Lastly, I never claimed to be anything other than fair game. Insult me all you like. But stooping to childish levels, as you just admitted was necessary, doesn't have some sort of magical, reverse, double backflip effect whereby I also end up looking childish and desperate.

Yes, you could insist on clarification. You could do everything in your power, wit, education and savvy to make sure that you are right.
Or you could be kind and human and allow a 63 year old man to share his knowledge.
Piling on every day in this place over and over is sickening to watch.
I don't believe that it is impossible to be kind to people. If I have to do this to open some eyes-then so be it.
If you'd like to be treated respectfully and would like to see less childish behavior-it is a two way street.
