Amazing, indeed. Especially in this crazy off-season of handing out crazy contracts to unproven players....
Green is by far the most overrated player on SpursTalk, his upside is limited, but I have no complaints about the terms of the deal, it's a favorable contract for a good 7th-8th man on a top team, which is Green's ideal role..

The news gets even better.![]()
Getting Diaw to resign for 4.5 mil seems impressive as well. He's making Bonner money and he's going to be a starter.
I'm so happy for Danny. He's been through a lot personally the last 5 years. But he never let it alter his work ethic.
Ah OK, it's 3.5 now?
Good to know I lost my evaluation touch only with De Colo's contract.
He may be overrated starting next year, but in terms of the 11-12 season, I don't think there were 5 players in the NBA who were both starters and on minimum/non-guaranteed contracts. If Green was the only one that wouldn't surprise me.
On top of that he was contributing mightily to the best team in the NBA (during the 48-7 run).
Lastly, as others have mentioned on this thread, had he held up in the WCF and beyond, the Spurs probably wouldn't have the cap room to bring him back.

Anyone know what Green is doing this summer? I wonder what he is working on.
