Suns would have loved to give him a player option for next year, and keep their cap space for next summer. Plus he could score as much as he wants on the Suns and really up his value.

mavs are actually better than last year tbh. OJ dude once averaged like 18pts earlier in his career, then dude got relegated to the bench and that was when his stats started to go on a slope. don't forget he was a top5 draft and the guy who the grizzlies traded kevin love for![]()
