It said he used a valid ID card. they didn't say he used "His" valid ID card.
I read multiple accounts from several media outlets. I'll bet when the dust settles, he used someone elses ID card to get access to where he was. probaly why they thought there was another.
We have a security card security system at work. Being an electronic tech that helps maintain the system, I can pull the access log in seconds. It easily tells me every swipe made by time, location, and user.
