Since Nazr made an appearance today, i started to think about other times the spurs took on project bigs. Like as bad as Ayers is, He's not Jackie Butler or that Chinese dude bad right? Manihimi sucked pretty bad too as a spur but has done better.
In past years, when the spurs were depending on some real stiffs to play 2nd big Ayers probably gets more minutes. He might the third best big on those 2005 to 2012 teams. We had some sad years before tiago and boris. Ayers is just one of a club of bigs who did not help the spurs.
