hes trolling you bro![]()
HOLY I DONT ACTUALLY USE MY YAHOO ADDRESS!! im still in.
1. I agree on points leaders. There should be no retribution in the annals of history for third place. However, if 1st or 2nd are points leaders i believe they SHOULD also win the points leaders pot. Its unfair to punish a dominator for dominating.
2. I agree on all scoring settings as currently constructed for red blue and purple.
3. I do agree that missed field goals should be negatively counted but it seems that wont pass the vote.
4. I agree on weekly point leaders. Leads to great monday night finishes.
5. J.T. i PM'd you.

I don't understand the reasoning for the negative points for missed kicks. Unless you're a ing idiot, that guy is your absolute last round draft pick. He's already only playing on 4th down, so whether he does his job or not the other team is getting possession. The only situation it maybe kinda sorta makes sense in is missed FG's from PAT distance (19 yards), but good luck passing a vote.
Imagine if you lost a week by 1 point because Tony Romo couldn't get the ball past the 45 yard line and Dan Bailey shanks a rushed 62 yard attempt with time running out.
Yeah I ing hate losing points on a missed field goal.
according to holden's proposal you dont lose points on field goals longer than 49 yards
so i did a mock fantasy draft and eddie lacy is apparently a top 5 fantasy player..... wtf?![]()
i've done a handful of mocks, and Lacy is a unanimous first round pick. i've rarely seen him go in the top 5. its typically some combination of Peterson, McCoy, Charles, Forte + Calvin
i just saw on yahoo his avg draft position is 4.9, is gonna be the doug martin of last year, tbh
PM me your email address at 12:01am PST if you're gonna wait up for the ball to drop. I got an appointment early in the morning but I will get the deets to you on my lunch break.
Sent PM with the particulars. Welcome spurraider!
What are we doing about playoffs? Would love a 6-team set-up, with first rd byes to the top 2 teams. We do this in my other leagues and 3 rounds of playoffs is always better than the standard 2. This also allows one or 2 teams to weather the storm if they suffer key injuries early on
Think we did that last year too IIRC
love the idea of weekly points leader getting paid, not that I would have won last year, but good idea. As for points, ill go with the consensus.
We voted in-season to change from 4 to 6 teams last year.
Alright, based on the responses I got from the post about the scoring settings, I'm going to proceed with eliminating the bonus points for QB and WR. PPR will remain unchanged at 1 point, RB's will continue receiving 2 bonus points at 100 yards and nothing beyond that.
That leaves us with only one issue on the scoring front to settle before permanently locking in these settings. I added -1 for the act of an offensive player fumbling. If the defense recovers, he gets another -2 points for a total of -3. This is to mirror the TD(6):INT(-3) ratio of QB's. However, there is not an entry in the D/ST settings for forcing a fumble. Defenses are awarded 3 points for intercepting the ball. Should we change a recovered fumble to 3 points instead of 2? Looks like Yahoo only allows points for forced fumbles under the IDP settings. Or eliminate the -1 for fumbling?
imo just give -3 for a fumble lost, no points lost for fumbling. an interception is -3, a fumble lost should be -3. if we dont charge qb's negative points for bad passes that should have been picked off, why would we charge a running back for a fumble recovered by the offense anyway.
same goes for defense. 3 points for an interception, 3 points for a fumble recovery. a turnover is a turnover
i agree with the rest of the scoring settings. i never cast my votes since i wasn't "in" the league at the time
I concur
y'all doing espn??? how are y'all scoring the fumbles??? i got my league set up as -1 for fumbles and -2 for fumbles lost. overkill or nah???
