Steelers and the NFL declined to punish him for what was essentially a deferred disposition (like Rice) on a DV charge

I'm not in any way condoning what Ray Rice did, but it's bull if this ends up destroying his career and I hope he sues the NFL's ass off. I'm sure it would be a CBA violation if the NFL suspends him twice for the same offense, and Rice has more than enough evidence to show his punishment is capricious and excessive compared to what the punishment has always been.

, it's excessive compared to the new rules that were made in reaction to his incident. The NFL has a real fight on their hands if Rice wants to go for it. They would have had problems had they just added four games onto his original suspension. To say what he did was worth at least 10 more games than any other type of DV is insane, especially considering all the mitigating cir stances surrounding the Rice incident that don't usual apply to NFL DV cases.
Not sure if the players union is willing to take that fight and get public outrage from it.
lol @ paul george
lol @ anyone pretending the black community doesn't condone and accept domestic violence
Shortening domestic violence to "DV" is insanely dorky. Please stop people
Truth.

Don't be surprised if we find out today that select #Ravens staffers saw the Rice knockout video before 9/8 TMZ leak.
Hopefully they take away a couple of their draft picks

Holy they are in deep
Meanwhile Jerry Jones still walking around a proud owner lol
@ProFootballTalk: New report says John Harbaugh wanted to cut Ray Rice in February but was overruled, Ravens deny this http://wp.me/p14QSB-9zPp
So is Harbaugh gonna be promoted to Head of Football Operations while Bischotti sells the team? I just don't get the point of lying about seeing the video. All it did was leave an opening for Rice to protest. The NFL is going to get harder than Janay over this.
But within hours of the elevator attack, an employee of the Ravens was describing the inside-elevator video to friends in graphic detail, telling confidants that Rice knocked out his then-fiancée with a punch and that the video was "really bad," according to a source close to a Ravens official.
"I was told, 'It has to get better for Ray Rice, or he's going to get cut,' " the source said.
That makes Goodell look bad in even more ways.
The Ravens also consulted frequently with Rice's Philadelphia defense attorney, Michael J. Diamondstein,

Diamondstein might be the most Jewish surname in history.
If I were the Ravens, I would have wanted Rice to be suspended the whole season, rather than just two games. He was essentially done, and that would have helped Baltimore get out of his contract more easily. There certainly wasn't a reason to call in a favor to get Rice's suspension reduced so much. Ray just isn't that important.
Roger trying to do Rice and the Ravens a solid and now everyone is attacking him for it. There's a lesson to be learned here, don't ing help people. lol
